Today I am feeling very fortunate. After reading the post that @bozz posted today with ice everywhere from freezing rain, it made me remember why I moved to southern California in the first place. This time of year the northern hemisphere can get chilly, so I moved to a place where I wouldn't have to worry about that fun stuff! It's a wonderful sunny day here, so as I said, I am feeling very fortunate!
Silver prices hit a new all time high again today, surpassing $85 per Troy ounce. That's pretty amazing and the run is far from over. But more about that later on in the post.
First, I wanted to share an item I ran across while browsing some silver products on APMEX.com. They are one of the biggest precious metal dealers around, and have just about anything your heart desires. Assuming you heart desires silver or gold that is. This year is the 250th birthday of the United States of America and it seems that countries around the world are producing commemorative coins for the event.
Samoa decided to show everyone else up by producing the coolest coin of the year. A silver statue coin of a bald eagle! That figure isn't just a sculpture, it's an actual silver 3 Troy ounce coin from Samoa. Although they don't implicitly state it's for the 250th birthday celebration, it is a bald eagle which is the national symbol of the US. What a nice creation!

As Samoa doesn't have their own mint, MDM Mint which is short for Münzhandelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG German Coin is producing this beauty. They make great quality products! Only 999 will be produced, ands will likely sell out very quickly just like the cobra coin did. No price has been set yet, but with three Troy ounces of pure silver and the artistry this will not be a cheap item. It's one I would love to pick up, but we'll have to wait and see just how high the price is once they are released!
Silver
Silver is once again flying high up those charts, and a new all time high has been set again. The supply shortages are becoming critical in some industries and they are buying up all of the silver they can. Without silver your smart phone wouldn't work, nor your computer, your car, airplanes, etc. The list goes on and on. It's a critical metal in industry and not enough is being produced through mining and refining to even remotely keep up with demand. That means $100 silver is likely just around the corner.

If you haven't started a silver stack, now is the time before the prices go any higher. The important thing is to start and keep investing. Soon you will have your own nice stack of silver and even gold if you so choose! Silver and gold have always been money throughout human history, and that won't change any time soon!
