El Jardín Botánico de Maracaibo ubicado justamente en dicha ciudad lleva por nombre Jardin Botánico Dr Leandro Aristeguieta, este posee en 108 hectáreas fundadas justamente en la décadas de los 60 buscando la preservación del espacio natural y la biodiversidad, en un clima tan soleado como Maracaibo, en estos tiempos no se lograba valorar la importancia de este gran bosque seco y humedo, este lleva el nombre de un doctor biólogo que fue el precursor que impulso la creación junto con un arquitecto, poder abrir y fundar este espacio de Jardín Botánico justamente en ese entonces no había una conciencia natural en las personas por eso también se creó este espacio de preservación así como también de investigación para las personas encargadas de preservar las especies.

Ahora bien en el Jardín Botánico se encuentran árboles realmente hermosos impresionantes y uno de ellos lo podemos apreciar en esta fotografía que tienden a recibir por nombre árbol Cabimero, debido a que tiene una corteza la cual se enmaraca con la lluvia esto hace ciertos orificios que se tiñen y deja ciertas formas, estos arboles alcanzan una gran altura y estos se encuentran totalmente sujetos , estos árboles también pueden llamarse como árboles cabimo, me encanto los detalles lindos de su corteza.

Ahora bien hablemos del árbol mas reconocido y antiguo del Jardín Botánico, este es el mas espectacular por el gran tronco que posee, es bastante grueso, este árbol específicamente tiene varios detalles realmente interesantes, lleva por nombre Boabab, este es el mas antiguo del jardin botánico esta desde su inauguración inicial, posee una corteza bastante firme y podemos observar que este tiene forma de elefante, en sus detalles superiores podemos observar esta semejanza parecida a un elefante.

Por último en el Jardín Botánico, podemos apreciar grandes belleza como lo es la Laguna Artificial de los Lottos y a pensar que esta tiene cierto mano humana para su elaboración, es bastante hermosa ya que se encuentra lleno de bastantes flores y peces aunado esto también hay una nueva área de estanques, así como también los innumerables bosques secos que estos están llenos de puros curaríre, que únicamente florecen una vez al año al última, la tercera semana de marzo un espacio único para recrearse y que los niños pueden visitar y pasar un agradable rato en familia.
