Postcards from my city, Maracay

Early this morning, we had to go to downtown Maracay to take my father-in-law to a doctor's appointment, as he has been experiencing health problems. We went to the Fundación Convenio Ginebra I, located near Plaza Girardot in the city center.

So, while we waited for our appointment, I decided to take a walk around the area to take some pictures of the city. One of the most central parts is precisely where Plaza Girardot and Plaza Bicentenaria are located. These two squares face each other, and each one has its own contrasts.

An additional interesting feature of the two squares mentioned above is their surroundings. We see places such as Maracay Cathedral and others with a colonial appearance or structure, which form part of the city's historic center. He also mentions La Capilla Shopping Center, which is quite iconic and well known in the city.

Maracay is a small city, but it has its charms. Those who live here are happy to spend their days in this city which, although it is true that it is not one of the most important in the country, has its attractions and also has the calm of a city that is not exactly congested, but is not considered a provincial town either.

I have lived in this city since I was born and am completely accustomed to it. I know every corner of the city center. All of these photos I took are permanently imprinted on my retina, as I have walked through these alleys and streets in the city center perhaps hundreds of times.

So I took advantage of what would be a day of medical appointments to take some photos and share them with the community. This is something I will do every time I visit somewhere in the city of Maracay, to build up a kind of photo library of my city, which you will of course be able to access through these posts. It was a pleasure to share this little experience. See you next time.
