They use this path as their daily route to run errands in downtown Mérida or to get to work—these are the people with true physical endurance.

Esa gente sí que tiene condición física real.
Amid the sweat, rapid heartbeats, and hustle of climbing the Cuesta, you might see one of the cable car gondolas passing overhead. Then you just keep going, and when you reach the top, you can enjoy a juice, ice cream, coconut water, or some "cocadas" with a friend to recharge your energy.
