A Saturday like any other, with lots of people in the streets, especially around this time of year as December approaches and people tend to go out shopping. The sun wasn't as strong as I usually like, so I didn't focus on highlighting shadows. Of course, there will always be some contrast with the subjects, which in this case are mostly human figures, except for one photo of a cat hiding in the city's alleyways with a pack of kittens, perhaps defending their territory.

For me, good sunlight is crucial for highlighting contrasting tones in images. However, it's not always the case, so I simply try to avoid dark images. On this occasion, I had to work with a higher ISO than usual. I say "usual" because on very sunny days it never goes above 100. It's not necessary unless the subject is in a darker area. Ultimately, it all depends on the scene and the lighting, so you can find the best camera settings to capture the images you want.

These images capture the everyday life unfolding on these streets. You don't need to know names; it's simply a matter of perceiving what you see and perhaps analyzing its context. It all depends on each viewer's interpretation, perspective, or aesthetic.

All photographs are my own.
