I never doubted that Istanbul was an extraordinary city.
When I first visited it a few years ago, I was truly struck by its uniqueness. Ever since then, whenever I plan my travels, I always try to return to Istanbul, not for the sights, though there are plenty, but for the city itself and its endless, one-of-a-kind streets.
This summer, my wife and I stayed at a small hotel near Taksim Square, probably the most popular tourist spot in the European part of the city. Today, I’d like to share some black-and-white shots I took during an evening walk. 📸
