Hello Holozing community, today I want to show you my new fanart, this time inspired by Xolo. I really liked this character since his presentation and, although I really wanted to embroider him, I couldn't. The reason is that I didn't have the right color of thread for his skin. The reason is that I didn't have the right color of thread for the skin, because as you can see, Xolo is black or a little lighter tone and that was the problem. If I filled it with black thread, the lines that define each part, the silhouettes of the ears, the eyes, everything would be mixed. That's why I decided to look for a shade of gray, the darkest I could find, so that the design could be visualized much better, but without losing the characteristics of the original character.
Also, I decided to do only the upper part of the body so that the details of the face could be seen much better, because if I had done it full body, the head would be smaller and it would be very difficult to achieve a good result in this part. I'll be showing you Xolobis soon, so I can take advantage of the yarn color and I won't waste it in another project. I hope you like it. Hola, comunidad de Holozing, hoy quiero mostrarles mi nuevo fanart, esta vez inspirado en Xolo. Este personaje me gustó mucho desde su presentación y, aunque tenía muchas ganas de bordarlo, no podía. La razón es que no tenía el color de hilo adecuado para la piel, pues como se darán cuenta, Xolo es de color negro o un tono un poco más claro y ahí estaba el problema. Si lo rellenaba con hilo negro, no se apreciarían las líneas que definen cada parte, las siluetas de las orejas, los ojos, todo estaría mezclado. Por eso decidí buscar un tono de gris, el más oscuro que encontraría, para que se pudiera visualizar mucho mejor el diseño, pero sin perder las características propias del personaje original.
Además, decidí hacer solo la parte superior del cuerpo para que los detalles de la cara se vieran mucho mejor, pues si lo hubiese hecho cuerpo entero, la cabeza quedaría más pequeña y sería superdifícil lograr un buen resultado en esta parte. Ya les adelanto que pronto estaré mostrándoles a Xolobis, para poder aprovechar el color de hilo y que no se me vaya a ocurrir gastarlo en otro proyecto. Espero que les guste. The first thing I did was to mark on a sheet of paper the outline of the embroidery hoop to define the space where I would draw the character. I drew the upper part of the character and so it wouldn't look so simple, I placed his name on the side. With the help of a carbon paper, I transferred the design to the fabric. Since it looks a bit plain, I went over all the lines with a ballpoint pen to improve the visibility of the design and thus avoid erasing the lines with hand manipulation. Then I placed the fabric on the stretched frame.
Lo primero que hice fue marcar en una hoja de papel el contorno del aro de bordar para definir el espacio en el que dibujaría el personaje. Dibujé la parte superior del personaje y para que no se viera tan simple, coloqué su nombre en un lateral. Con la ayuda de un papel carbón, transferí el diseño a la tela. Como se ve un poco claro, repasé todas las líneas con un bolígrafo para mejorar la visibilidad del diseño y así evitar que se borren las líneas con la manipulación de las manos. Luego coloqué la tela en el bastidor bien estirada.

I started embroidering with the black thread to make the whole silhouette and the details of the face. For this I used the magic needle, but with a finer point, using only three strands of thread. I continued with the yellow thread, starting with the details of the face and eyes that are smaller and then embroidered the chest part.
Comencé a bordar con el hilo negro para hacer toda la silueta y los detalles de la cara. Para ello utilicé la aguja mágica, pero con la punta más fina, utilizando solo tres hebras de hilo. Continué con el hilo amarillo, comenzando por los detalles de la cara y los ojos que son más pequeños y luego bordé la parte del pecho.

With the blue and pink threads I embroidered the ears and the tip of the nose, just as the original character is, and with the dark gray tone I filled in the rest of the body. For this I used a thicker tip of the magic needle that allowed me to use all 6 strands of embroidery floss. This way I would finish much faster, as it covers more space.
Con los hilos de color azul y rosa bordé las orejas y la punta de la nariz, tal y como es el personaje original, y con el tono gris oscuro rellené el resto del cuerpo. Para ello utilicé una punta más gruesa de la aguja mágica que me permitía utilizar las 6 hebras del hilo de bordar. De esta forma terminaría mucho más rápido, ya que abarca más espacio.

With a hand needle I embroidered the whole silhouette of the letters of the name using only one strand of thread so that the lines would be very fine. Then, with this same needle, I made two French knots, making 5 turns in the center of the eyes to be the pupils.
Con una aguja de mano bordé toda la silueta de las letras del nombre usando solo una hebra de hilo para que quedaran bien finas las líneas. Luego, con esta misma aguja, hice dos nudos franceses dando 5 vueltas en el centro de los ojos para que fueran las pupilas.
