Cómo pasan diciembre? , yo he estado algo ausente por aquí noviembre fue algo movido para mí y no había tenido chance de ponerme al día con mis proyectos artísticos y he estado retomando lo de un poco en poco, y empecemos con las decoraciones de navidad 🎄, ya en mi casa decoramos, y como siempre sucede sacando las decoraciones siempre hay algunas que vemos que ya están demasiado viejas o que algunas ya están dañadas, la verdad con esta economía cambiar las decoraciones de navidad no es lo mejor cuando hay cosas más importantes en las que enfocarnos, así que tenía este lindo arbolito musical que era de mi tía y aúnque está medio desvanecido en la caja musical, igual sigue sirviendo da una melodía navideña, pero ya estaba bastante deteriorado el aspecto que tenía, entonces pensé que quedaría lindo darle una renovación, y para aprovechar para reciclar una extensión de luz navideña, la verdad no tenia ni idea de sí esto iba a salir pero me gustó como quedó,mucho mejor de lo que esperaba y tiene dos funciones ser una caja musical y servir de lámpara 😍🎄.

I've been a bit absent lately; November was quite hectic for me, and I haven't had a chance to catch up on my art projects. I've been getting back to them little by little, and let's start with the Christmas decorations 🎄. We've already decorated at my house, and as always happens when we take out the decorations, we always see some that are too old or damaged. Honestly, with the current economy, changing Christmas decorations isn't the best idea when there are more important things to focus on. So, I had this cute little musical tree that belonged to my aunt, and even though the music box is a bit faded, it still plays a Christmas melody. But it was looking quite worn, so I thought it would be nice to give it a makeover. And I also thought I'd recycle a string of Christmas lights. I honestly had no idea if this would work, but I liked how it turned out—much better than I expected! It has two functions: it's a music box and it's a lamp 😍🎄.

#1 Lo primero que hice fue limpiar bien el arreglito en forma de arbolito, tenía polvo y la textura que era de un material que daba la ilusión de reflector la luz y que se viera el movimiento, pero que con los años quedó color marrón.Tambien tenía de adornos unos pompones de confeti y se los arranqué dejando la base del arbolito lisa.

#2 Con la superficie del arbolito limpia empecé a idear como cubriría la superficie,tenía este cordón blanco por rollo y pensé en usarlo para forrar toda la superficie,pero primero tenía que armar la estructura del arbolito con lucesitas ,para eso usé está extensión de luces navideñas que tenía varios bombillos quemados , y lo que hice fue que con Teipe empecé a pegar las luce ,pegando los bombillos quemados a la superficie y dejar los que funcionaban libre , al pegarlos con Teipe estos que funcionaban quedaban paraditos y se denotan más, también para ayudarme a pegar mejor puse silicón caliente para que quedara más fija las luces.

#2 With the surface of the little tree clean, I started to think about how I would cover it. I had this white cord by the roll and thought about using it to wrap the whole surface, but first I had to assemble the tree's structure with lights. For that, I used this string of Christmas lights that had several burnt-out bulbs. What I did was use tape to start sticking the lights on, sticking the burnt-out bulbs to the surface and leaving the working ones free. By taping them on, the working ones stood upright and stood out more. I also used hot glue to help me stick them better and make the lights more secure.

#3 También me las ingenie para ir dándole la vuelta al arbolito y rellenar la superficie con las luces, porqué si las luces estuvieran completas podría simplemente enrollarlo de manera completa pero aquí tuve que ingeniármelas para distribuir bien las luces que funcionaban por todo el arbolito, use mucho Teipe pero muchooooo, porque asegure cada bombillo que iba enrrollando y pegando más cinta, por lo menos para crear la estructura.

#4 Ya tenía mi base hecha con los bombillitos de las luces, para poder hacerlo bien y no confundirme tuve que conectar la extensión de luces para ver cuáles eran las que servían y las que no, luego usé el cordón blanco y pegué la punta del cordón a la punta del arbolito y empecé a pegarlo, iba colocando algo de silicón caliente para que se pegará bien, y para que quedara bien sujetas los bombillos buenos que sobresalían,el proceso fue tardado pero lo complete y habían quedado algunos espacios e irregularidades dado que la superficie con las luces ya no eran lisas entonces lo que hice fue que termine de forrarlo con el cordón blanco y luego le dí otra vuelta con el cordón enfocándome en donde se pudieran ver aberturas y ayudar a taparlas para que sea más prolijo el resultado.

There were some gaps and irregularities because the surface with the lights wasn't smooth anymore, so I finished wrapping it with the white cord and then wrapped it again, focusing on any gaps to help cover them and make the result neater.

#5 Para las decoraciones recorte estrellas en Foami dorado escarchado en varios tamaños, también hice un lazo rojo de Foami para decorar la punta y recorte la medida de altura de la base del arbolito para forrar esa parte, lo pegué y recorté dos tiras grandes y finas de foami rojos escarchado para poner en los bordes, por la parte de atrás pegué estrellas de varios tamaños espaciadas en toda la superficies del arbolito.Para la parte delantera trate de ubicar las estrellas en forma diagonal atravesando todo el arbolito, y con un sacabocados hice unas bolitas rojas de foami para colocarlos en esa parte central en donde están las estrellas ,por último ubique el lazo gigante en la punta del arbolito.-

I also made a red foam bow to decorate the top and cut it to the height of the base of the little tree to cover that part. I glued it on and cut two large, thin strips of glittery red foam to put on the edges. On the back, I glued stars of various sizes spaced across the entire surface of the little tree. For the front, I tried to place the stars diagonally across the entire tree, and with a hole punch, I made some small red foam balls to place in the central part where the stars are. Finally, I placed the giant bow at the top of the little tree.

#y este es el resultado , como si fuera un adorno en forma de arbolito totalmente nuevo y encima funciona como lámpara con las luces del arbolito, y también como es una caja músical al darle vueltas sobre su mismo eje y soltarlo empieza a sonar una melodía de navidad , y va dando vueltas poco a poco , la verdad está precioso este resultado lo puse en una mesita de vidrio cerca del arbolito y quedó genial.
