Hello, how are you? This past week, I've been trying to be kind, and the universe is really testing my level of sensitivity, and I failed so hard because the moment someone was rude to me, I blew hard T.T.

Every kindness left inside me has gone instantly spirit of Christmas has been completely ruined LOL. But I'm feeling it, thanks to the movies I watch lately completely healed my soul again.

So I've been watching animated movies, and I decided to watch Zootopia again because the sequel is out in the cinema earlier, and I'll just wait for it to be available on Disney+, maybe by next year. There is a scene where there are cute hamsters that caught my eye, and I ask myself why not do a clay worry stone out of it, and yeah, so I made myself busy again.

So yeah, as I was making this clay, I might consider gifting my family a worry stone to have something to fidget with when bored or anxious. So I made one earlier, and I pretty much use it a lot to help me a bit.

Materials I Used:
$1
  • Glass Sheet
  • Polymer Clay
  • Portable Weighing Scale
  • Soft Pastels
  • X-Acto Knife
  • Alcohol
  • Qtip
  • Makeup Brush
  • Gum Container
  • Oven
  • Silicone Mat
  • Uv Resin
  • Face Shield/Facemask
  • Disposable Gloves
  • Uv Lamp
  • Clay Tools

Sketching the ideas is really important to me because not only does it make it easier, but I can also improve the result.

After that, I gather all the polymer clay I need so that I can easily grab it if I need it, and then I condition it by kneading it.

After that, I weighed all the polymer clay I needed so that assembling it later would be easier and less messy.

Of course, I am going to start with the foundation, which is the body itself. What I do is I place that ball of polymer clay into a gum container and press it down to make a shallow dent where my finger fidgets.

And then I soften, and I make sure it is big enough for my finger to fit. After that, I use alcohol and qtip to clean the dust from the clay.

Now I am going to start adding the parts of the face. I am going to start with the eye, just carefully put it on the clay.

16.JPG

Let's not forget the eyebrows.

And next is the base for the nose.

22.JPG

24.JPG

And of course the nose.

25.JPG

26.JPG

And then the teeth, I was supposed to use white, but I ran out, so I used translucent ones for the teeth. I guess it does the job.

27.JPG

29.JPG

Next are the ears. What I do is I add a den in the middle just to make it more dimensional.

30.JPG

31.JPG

For the hair, I just do it simply.

33.JPG

34.JPG

For the hands and feet, I was supposed to do it simply, but I decided to add an extra thing to it, so I added some fingers to it.

Time to add color, to do that I use soft pastels and make up brush. What I do is layer the clay from lightest to darkest.

42.JPG

43.JPG

After that, I place it onto a silicone mat and bake it at the temperature and time on what the instruction on the packaging. Before proceeding to the next step, make sure to cool down the baked clay first.

44.JPG

45.JPG

To add protection to the clay, I use UV Resin to coat the clay and add to it to make it look shiny. I squeeze out enough.

46.JPG

47.JPG

Using a brush, I carefully apply the UV Resin make sure to coat all of it evenly.

48.JPG

49.JPG

And then I cure it under light until it is no longer sticky.

Now the hamster worry stone is ready to use.
