However, all this entails is an ethical issue that they face every day, and as they improve, they discover what truly makes them a good person.

The point is that she learns the basics of ethics and how to apply them, but this doesn't improve her next life in any way, because we must be good without expecting anything from others.

Chidi, Eleanor's eternal soulmate, is a philosopher who struggles with indecision, but is unaware of the harm it causes to others, believing it to be solely his own problem. His progress is very satisfying for us, the viewers; he's such an interesting character that he became my favorite in the series.

She's a very funny girl in her scenes because of how hilarious she is. Tahani has one of the best scenes I've ever seen, and it's the test that determines whether she was going to the good place or the bad place.

Jason, an urban Asian boy, and a very handsome one at that. He has the huge problem of being blatantly useless, despite claiming to be a musician and addicted to toxic habits (not drugs, as far as I understand), but this guy was undoubtedly the one who suffered the worst torture anyone has ever endured upon arriving at the good place.
