Greetings, I hope you're all well. Today, I'm back with a new K-drama that's been going viral lately. It's on Amazon Prime Video and just released. In fact, it was on my brother's birthday that one of the best Korean zombie series I've seen since Kingdom began. Newtopia has the best combination of horror, drama, and comedy, earning a good place in the streaming world and enjoying a good reception from the public.

Saludos, espero estén muy bien, hoy vuelvo con un nuevo K-Drama que se ha hecho viral últimamente, la cual pertenece a Amazon Prime Video y está recién estrenada, de hecho fue el día del cumpleaños de mi hermano que dio inicio una de las mejores series Coreanas de Zombis que he visto desde Kingdom. Newtopia tiene la mejor combinación entre el terror, el drama y la comedia, dándose un buen lugar en el mundo del Streaming y teniendo una buena recepción de parte del público.

Newtopia follows the story of Lee Jae-yoon, a soldier completing his military service with plans to reunite with his girlfriend Lee Jae-yoon after his enlistment. While they wait for their reunion, a tragic pandemic begins, in which those infected become highly aggressive and contagious living dead. The virus, coincidentally, spread very quickly, especially in the area where the soldiers were serving.

Newtopia sigue la historia de Lee Jae-yoon, un soldado que está cumpliendo con su servicio militar con planes de reencontrarse con su novia Lee Jae-yoon luego de terminar su servicio. En medio de la espera de que llegue el día de su reencuentro, empieza una trágica pandemia en donde los infectados se convierten en muertos vivientes, altamente agresivos y contagiosos. El virus casualmente se propagó muy rápidamente, en especial en la zona donde los militares estaban prestando su servicio.

This series has had both good and bad reviews. For example, there are reviews from before the final episodes, and most complain about the first episode, calling it boring and the main characters too dull for their roles. But here we must understand that the soldiers (main characters) are novice soldiers who have no great idea about defenses, and I'm sure those criticizing the characters' personalities would be the first to be infected in a zombie apocalypse.

Esta serie ha tenido buenas y malas reseñas, por ejemplo, están las reseñas que están desde antes de sus capítulos finales, y la mayoría reporta quejas hacia el primer episodio y lo tachan de aburrido y que los personajes principales son demasiado lerdos para el papel que desempeñan. Pero aquí debemos entender que los militares (personajes principales) son soldados principiantes que no tienen mayores ideas sobre defensas, y estoy segura de que los que están criticando la personalidad de los personajes serían los primeros en infectarse en un apocalipsis zombi.

The first episode is very good for its introduction, because while it tries to create scenes so that you relate to the characters, if you pay close attention, you hear the news giving information about a new virus that is spreading rapidly, starting the chaos.

El primer episodio es muy bueno para su introducción, porque mientras se intenta crear escenas para que te vayas relacionando con los personajes, si le prestas mucha atención, vas escuchando las noticias dando información sobre un nuevo virus que se está esparciendo rápidamente, dando comienzo al caos.

Another strong point of the series was its lead actress, Jisoo, who gave this production the marketing it needed to gain attention, as this singer and actress is highly famous primarily for being a member of the band BLACKPINK. Her character was once considered stupid, but as the episodes went by, she grew braver, becoming one of my favorite characters in this drama.

Otro punto fuerte de la serie fue la actriz y protagonista Jisoo, que le dio el marketing que necesitó esta producción para darse a notar, ya que esta cantante y actriz es altamente famosa principalmente por ser miembro de la banda BLACKPINK. Su personaje fue uno de los juzgado de lerdo, pero mientras van pasando los capítulos ella va teniendo mas valentía, y así logrando convertirse en mi personajes favorito en este drama.

As the episodes go by, the plot improves. In fact, in Chapter 5, everything becomes very interesting. By this point, I was already very connected to the characters; I could distinguish them and began to care for each one because of what they represented in the series. And after that episode, there were some truly sad moments, where the loss of important people was truly painful.

Mientras van pasando los episodios, la trama van mejorando, de hecho, en el capítulo 5 todo se vuelve muy interesante, a este punto yo ya estaba muy bien relacionada con los personajes, los distinguía y les empecé a tener cariño a cada uno por lo que representaban en la serie. Y ya luego de dicho episodio se le dio espacio a momentos realmente tristes, donde las pérdidas de personas importantes fueron realmente dolorosas.

I loved the comedy here; I laughed so much in the last few episodes. I must say, they made the most of the sound effects; the onomatopoeia was hilarious, adding that comical touch that I love to see in these Korean dramas. Here's the trailer for this series so you can relate to it and get inspired to watch it. Even though there are scenes that seem tedious, you can give it a try. Besides, when there are zombies, it's fun.

Me encantó la comedia que hubo aquí; en los últimos episodios me reí demasiado, debo comentar que los efectos de sonidos los supieron aprovechar, las onomatopeyas fueron muy divertidas, porque le daban el toque cómico que me fascina ver de estos Dramas Coreanos. Aquí les dejo el Tráiler de esta serie para que se relacione con ella y se animen a verla, a pesar de que hay escenas que parecen tediosas, puedes darle la oportunidad de verla, aparte, cuando hay Zombis, hay diversión.
