So, I'm currently mining ZEC with a few 1060 and a 1080 card. Since I'm using a lot of computers for this, I wanted to try to build a more efficient rig, with 6 cards. This time I wanted to try AMD.

So, I got some stuff.
- MSI Z270-A Pro
- Kingston Value DDR4 2400MHz 4GB ECC
- Intel Pentium G4560 Kaby Lake
- 6 Radeon RX 580 Pulse 8 GB
I also have ordered a Corsair HX1200 PSU, but they are pretty difficult to get hold of, so I'm still waiting. So I had to use 3 (!) PSU that I had laying around.
I also had an 120GB Plextor SSD.

So, the first test is up and running. Put everything together, using the integrated Intel GPU to upgrade the BIOS and Install Windows 10.

Now its time to add some GPUs to the system. We have also ordered some custom mining chassis from Shenzhen, but they have not arrived yet. So we had to build a custom case for this project. I'ts not pretty, and its not well designed (I will come back to that in a later post), but it worked for the test phase. We had to redo it a bit before we could start to mine.

So, here you can see how we mounted the GPU with PCIe raisers. Maybe you can see the big issue and the design flaw?
Stay tuned for some more information about this rig. I will continue to document the progress, issues, design flaws and tweaks we do. Hopefully we will get the rig to work!
