Another day, another café adventure! We just found another hidden gem in Cebu City,
Welcome to Onward Coffee
This is located at 15 Wilson St., Lahug, just across from Pamahaw Café, if you were familiar to where Yellow Cube Food Hub used to be, this is where you will find this hidden gem. If you’re a coffee lover or just someone who enjoys discovering unique cafés, this one’s worth the visit.
5 Things We Love About Onward Coffee
The Ambiance
Onward Coffee keeps it simple and cozy, with clean interiors and a minimalist yet inviting vibe. It’s not overly decorated, but that’s part of the charm. It lets the coffee and the experience speak for themselves.
Attentive Staff
The baristas? Super welcoming and passionate about their craft. We had a quick chat, and they take pride in their “quality over quantity” approach. Whether you’re a coffee newbie or a seasoned drinker, they’ll help you find the perfect cup. They were also very attentive and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
The Coffee
If you know me, you know that we drink way too much coffee, and Onward Coffee delivers smooth, well-balanced brews. They source their beans from different parts of the world, ensuring quality in every sip. Ordered a cappuccino, and yep—it was love at first sip. Bonus: they sell coffee beans too!
My friend ordered an affogato, and it was a match made in dessert heaven. A shot of bold, freshly brewed espresso served with creamy vanilla ice cream. Watching the espresso melt into the ice cream was already satisfying, but the first spoonful? Pure bliss. If you're up for a little indulgence, definitely give this one a try!
Creamy Matcha
Not into coffee? No worries! Their matcha latte is a must-try. It’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced—not too bitter, not too sweet. If you’re a matcha fan, you’ll love this.

The Creative Corner
I saw another cool thing that caught my attention in Onward Coffee, The little artworks left behind by customers. Saw some sketches were pasted on the window sills, adding a personal and artsy touch to the space. It’s like a collection of stories from people who’ve passed through—a simple yet special detail that makes the café feel even more inviting.
Though Onward Coffee is small, with minimum sitting capacity, it makes up for it with its warm atmosphere and quality drinks. It’s one of those places where you can just sit back, enjoy your coffee, and soak in the experience.
⏰ Open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
