Feliz lunes needleworkers 😊 espero que estén muy bien esta semana, estoy a muy pocos días de empezar mi nueva rutina del año, la facultad está a la vuelta de la esquina y como necesito unas cositas nuevas me estoy poniendo al día con las costuras, mi estado de ánimo está mucho mejor así que estoy cosiendo con muchas más ganas, tengo que encarar los proyectos nuevos de costuras de invierno, tengo muchas ganas de hacer una chaqueta para antes de que llegue el frio pero uff hay que pensar el diseño y ponerse a coser, pero tengo la tela en mente que quiero así que apenas tenga tiempo empiezo a diseñar eso.
Happy Monday needleworkers 😊 I hope you are doing well this week, I am just a few days away from starting my new routine for the year, college is just around the corner and since I need some new things I am catching up on sewing, my mood is much better so I am sewing with much more enthusiasm, I have to face new winter sewing projects, I really want to make a jacket before the cold arrives but uff I have to think about the design and start sewing, but I have the fabric in mind that I want so as soon as I have time I will start designing that.
Algo que necesito es una bolsita para llevar cosas, estoy usando más mi morral que mis mochilas, pero si salgo todo un día de casa y necesito llevar una muda de ropa o mis productos de skin care pues ya no entra ahí jajaja, me puse a buscar en mi bolsa de telas y encontré esta tela de estrellas, es como una fibrana elastizada o algo así.
Something I need is a little bag to carry things in. I'm using my backpack more than my rucksacks, but if I leave the house for a whole day and need to carry a change of clothes or my skincare products, it doesn't fit in there anymore, haha. I started looking in my fabric bag and found this star fabric. It's like a stretchy fiber or something like that.
Tengo un tamaño de referencia para mi bolsa que es la bolsa que suelo usar para esto pero está un poco estropeada y me gusta más usarla para hacer las compras, y yo quiero una bolsita para ir de picnic, llevar mis cositas a la facultad o llevar mi almuerzo al trabajo, así que esta tela hará su trabajo para que yo pueda tener una bolsa linda.
I have a reference size for my bag, which is the bag I usually use for this, but it's a little worn out, and I prefer to use it for shopping. I want a little bag to go on a picnic, carry my things to school, or carry my lunch to work. So this fabric will do the job so I can have a nice bag.
Corté el tamaño un poco más grande que el de referencia porque esta es muy pequeña y a veces vuelvo del trabajo y paso a hacer compras asi que necesitaba que sea un poquito más alta.
I cut the size a little larger than the reference size because this one is very small and sometimes I come back from work and stop by to do some shopping, so I needed it to be a little taller.
Como la tela es elástica le voy a hacer un forro de lienzo, esta tela es bastante gruesa y además es un trozo sobrante de un proyecto del año pasado de la facultad.
Since the fabric is stretchy, I'm going to make a canvas lining. This fabric is quite thick and is also a leftover piece from a college project last year.
La costura de la bolsa es muy simple, pase overlook a ambos rectángulos para que no haya hilos sueltos por ahí, ambas telas son de soltar muchos hilos así que esto no solo sirve para que esté prolijo sino que también es algo necesario.

Pase también una costura en máquina recta a ambas bolsas, ya que la estampada es la de afuera y la lisa es la de adentro.
I also did a straight machine seam on both bags, as the printed one is on the outside and the plain one is on the inside.
Cosí las bocas de las bolsas, todo por el contorno que también tenía una pasada de overlook, entonces solo lo uno con recta y ya está, como el lienzo no tiene derecho ni revés esto es fácil, pero si la tela tuviera estampa hay que tener eso en cuenta.
I sewed the mouths of the bags, all around the outline, which also had an overlooked pass, then I just joined it straight and that's it. Since the canvas doesn't have right or wrong sides, this is easy, but if the fabric has a print, you have to take that into account.
Deje un espacio para darle la vuelta, también la bolsa de adentro tenía 3 cm menos que la de afuera, para que al voltear esto quede como una especie de vista interna, para que el forro no se asome, entonces después lo que hay que hacer es pasar una costura por el borde.
Leave some space to turn it inside out. Also, the inside bag was 3 cm smaller than the outside one, so that when you turn this out, it has a sort of internal view, so that the lining doesn't show through. Then, what you have to do is sew a seam along the edge.
Use una costura decorativa en color negro, queda muy bien con la tela, además sigo usando para todo lo que es para mí costuras de contraste en otro color.
I used a decorative stitch in black, it looks great with the fabric, and I still use contrast stitching in another color for everything that is for me.
Para terminar, hice unas tiras que me quedaron un poco largas jajaja así que arriba les hice un nudo, la idea es que sean un poco fruncidas, no hice fotos porque me distraje jajaja, pero fueron dos rectángulos más de tela.
To finish, I made some strips that were a little long, haha, so I tied a knot on top. The idea was for them to be a little gathered. I didn't take any photos because I got distracted, haha, but they were two more rectangles of fabric.
Las manijas también las cosí con costuras decorativas bien al borde y ahora con esto mi nueva bolsa esta lista para usar :3.
I also sewed the handles with decorative stitching right on the edge and now with this my new bag is ready to use :3.
Me gusta mucho para llevarla a todos lados cuando necesito llevar cosas conmigo 🙂, aunque también voy a hacer un nuevo morral, pero no tengo tela para esto y tengo otras cosas con más urgencia, y como mis clases ya empiezan voy a usar nuevamente mi mochila, pero esta bolsita ya me soluciona mucho llevar cosas :3.
I really like it to take it everywhere when I need to carry things with me 🙂, although I'm also going to make a new backpack, but I don't have the fabric for this and I have other things that are more urgent, and since my classes are already starting I'm going to use my backpack again, but this little bag already makes carrying things a lot easier for me :3.
