One of these activities that is organized in schools every year is elections. Elections are held among children for various positions and during this election campaign, children go through the entire election process. Some of these children contest elections for the positions of President, Junior President, NAB President, Secretary General Secretary and Information. And the students who participate in the elections, the entire year's report of these students is seen. Those children who are absent from school more or are weak in their studies in school or are involved in any way in fights or theft or are found involved in any kind of negative activities, then these children are not allowed to contest in the elections because an attempt is made to create such an awareness in them that if they maintain their performance as students throughout the year, they can participate in the elections. Similarly, this year 2025 and The 26th election has been held and children have also started a campaign to contest the election.
All the teachers went to each class and informed the children about the school council elections and told the children that if anyone wants to participate in the elections, they should submit their papers and they can get their nomination papers from the school election office. In this way, all the terms, rules and regulations were made known to the children. After going to all the classes, the children of class 10, class 9, class 8 and 7 gave their names to participate. The president is elected from this class, which is the most senior class of the school, every year in the election, and similarly, students are selected from the junior class for the NAB president and similarly for the general secretary and secretary. A total of seven panels are formed. Whichever panel wins out of the seven panels, that panel will hold the positions of NAB president, general secretary, secretary and information officer for the entire year. In this way, all the children submitted their papers and their data for the entire year was checked and after that the names of these children were announced. In this way, now the children have one It is a week long campaign and they have to conclude it and on May 25, elections will be held inside the school. The elections are held with complete fairness and the voting procedure is completely the same as in the general election so that the children will develop the spirit of participating in voting in their practical life as well.
Just as we know that in our practical life, just as we vote for different people in elections and after voting, we choose these people so that they can reach the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly and solve the problems of our area, similarly, when school council elections are held in schools, these elections are held for a year and the purpose of the organization that is established in the school for a year is also to solve the problems of the school and if there is any need for anything in the school, games and other activities or children's problems, health problems, then this council, which is elected by all the students of the school together, has the duty and responsibility of this school council to convey the problems of the children to the head of the department in writing and also verbally. Then the head of the department sends the problems of the children to the CEO offices and the problems of the children are solved by the CEO offices. Some problems are solved very well within the school, but sometimes some problems Therefore, if financial assistance is required, that assistance comes from the CEO office itself. And when a school council submits its problems to the CEO office in writing, then it is acted upon very quickly. In this way, the school council plays an active role, due to which many good changes take place within the school. Just as we bring other people to the assembly in our lives, if these children also participate in the elections in the school, they go ahead and become good leaders.
These elections have many benefits. The biggest benefit is that an activity is organized to promote a healthy and strong mind, endurance, and unity among children. When children participate in the elections, the participating members go to each child individually and ask them to vote for them. In this way, all the children have a whole week and they run this campaign in a week. The children are given an hour during their free time at school or almost every day to run their election campaign and get votes for themselves. In this way, when children go to any student to ask for votes, that student puts his request or his problems in front of them and then they promise the child that if they win the election, they will definitely pay attention to his problems. In this way, each panel comforts its voters and gives them hope and promises them that after winning, they will definitely pay attention to the problems of these children. In this way, leadership skills are developed in these children. Children are born and other children who are casting their votes realize the importance of their vote. In this way, excellent activities continue on both sides, which play an important role in making them a better member of society.
Because we see in our practical life that there are many people who do not realize the importance of their vote and when elections are held in the country, some people do not even cast their votes in the elections and there are some people who, without thinking, cast their votes for people who are not capable of solving problems for our country and our region. Therefore, these children should be made aware of the importance of voting in school life at this age so that when they become responsible citizens of the society, they have this thought, understanding and option that they have to use their vote in a better way and give their vote to people who can solve its problems. They will never vote for such people who are not good for the country and the nation. Therefore, if we have to develop leadership skills in children in schools and make them excellent individuals and responsible citizens of the society, we have to shape the minds of children in schools and educational institutions in such a way that when children graduate from school and go into their practical lives, they become excellent Therefore, the purpose of these school council elections is to develop leadership skills in children and instill in them a sense of the importance of voting.

These activities also bring about many positive changes in children. Some children are very naughty and sometimes children fight with each other in school. Some children are very irritable. Some children are lonely. Some children speak very little. But when such a campaign starts, all those children come together and then participate in these activities together. So we can include all such children in the election campaign who are sad, worried, or lonely for any reason. In this way, these activities also become an important means of eliminating loneliness in children. And those children who are very irritable or very shy for any reason, by participating in these activities, they bring about more positive changes in themselves.
If we want to improve society, we have to lead our youth towards improvement. We have to instill the mindset of doing something within our youth. We have to instill feelings of love for the country and the nation in the youth. We have to instill a love for education in the youth.
