Hey! Tonight I wanna show you a new fan art of @holozing. I’ve done the other girls before, but this time I went for the Light Healer! Wanted to make my own version of her.

Also—main thing—I’ve been practicing with CorelPainter. There are some really cool brushes, though I usually just stick to a couple. So for this portrait, I wanted to try something different and draw in a way that caught my attention but I hadn’t really gone all in on before haha.

Anyway, hope the result looks decent to you! 😆🎨

After finally getting the brush I wanted, I made a few strokes to kick off this piece. I recorded a video, but the day’s been kinda crazy, so I haven’t edited it yet. Anyway, here are a couple of pics so you can check out a bit of the process!

To improve the base I had and move on to the details, I added some light and shadows to get a better sense of things—like the placement of the eyes, nose, lighting, and all that. The healer has gray hair, but I kinda went off track with that—everything ended up looking way more yellow than it should. But no big deal, still had things to tweak!

As things started coming together, it was looking better—still not too detailed, but the structure was there. There was still stuff to do, though. The whole time I worked on this, I did it on a single layer, which honestly felt pretty relaxing and freeing.

The portrait was looking better! There were still some brush marks left behind, but that was fine—I didn’t want everything too smooth from the start. I also made a few small tweaks to the hair, but nothing too drastic lol.

It was time to add the details—finally adding the eyes, mouth, and everything else. As I went on, I kept refining the volume in the face, applying colors and all that. To be honest, I focused way more on the face than on the rest, so the rest looks kinda messy.

The final render is where everything comes to life hahahah. Just tweaking a few little details, and my portrait of this healer will be all set!
