Hey, how's it going?

After finishing the forest team, I had this other group in mind that I’m super into: the Light Healers. I started with the female version, which I shared in the last post. I’ve been kinda busy these days, so I just got around to finishing the missing male character now.

From the start, I wanted to make them separately and then combine them into one piece. Idk, I like giving them their own individual space first, connecting with each one separately... and then seeing how they balance together in the same scene. Basically, I do fanart for each one individually, but always with the idea that they’ll come together in one image at the end 😋😉😍

As always, I don’t usually do lines for the initial sketches, just a couple of smudges to get an idea of what I had in mind, a pose to complete with the girl’s position... I didn’t need to go into much detail, honestly, that was the least of my worries at that moment, since pretty much anything would work as long as it fit with what I had in mind.

Hmmm as you probably noticed over the years, yesss ahahah hmmm I haven’t really drawn that many male characters anddddddd orcs don’t really count as humans lol. But yeah, I really need to do them more often if I wanna get better at it , for the future.

Honestly, while I was working on this guy, he was looking kinda too feminine at first and that wasn’t really the vibe I was going for 😁 I wanted a more masculine yess, well defined look. But well, it’s all part of the process, no?.

If you don’t know who Sephiroth… hmmmmm maybe you live under a rock lol. He’s like toooooopppppppp tier handsome, no joke! lol. well I haven’t really drawn many long-haired male characters, but he popped into my head, soooooo I used him as a little reference to figure some stuff out and yeahhhhh I think it helped the situation a bit ahaahahha

After finishing the gray base, I felt like it was something I was pretty happy with at that point. So I added a layer in overlay mode and threw on some colors to set the base hmmmmm since later I was gonna add the lights, shadows, and so on... But yeah, this was just a starting point😋

To improve what I already had and keep making progress with the drawing... I added some accents and little details, like with the golden ones. I did the same with the female drawing—kept it a bit flat at first and then added lights and shadows at this point hmm yeahhh is better like that way. I’ve been changing a few things to avoid spending too much time detailing in gray,
But yeah, I think there are still some things that need more detailing.

To finish up the drawing, I went back to work on the hottest guy to make his hair a bit more fluid (though spoiler, he’s way sexier!). Besides that, I adjusted some colors, trying to make him look a bit like the girl from before. OMGGGgggG That was a bit of a challenge, to make it fit right and not look weird hmm because that's no nice lol
