First in the collection

Good night or good morning everyone, hope u all doing great.

Today I want to share something I’ve been working on these past few days, and that I’m really excited about. It’s a piece I created live on Blaze, and although it’s based on a drawing I had worked on before, I feel like this time it took a different direction and opened up new ideas for what I want to do next.

From the beginning, I decided to use a previous drawing as a starting point. It wasn’t just about reusing it, but reinterpreting it. I like going back to my own foundations because it allows me to see how I’ve evolved and how I can transform something that already exists into something different, more solid, or clearer in its intent.

I made this drawing fully in Photoshop, just building it up little by little while I was live. I really like that process tbh, because people can actually see how everything comes together from the base structure all the way to the final lighting and shadow tweaks. It’s not just about the final result, it’s the whole journey that makes it worth it imo.

While I was working on it, I started changing a few things compared to the original version. I adjusted some shapes, fixed proportions, and mostly played around with the elements around the character. That part is super interesting to me, because even small changes can totally shift the whole vibe of the piece lol.

Something I’m planning with this drawing is turning it into a whole collection. The idea is to keep pretty much the same base structure or at least the main essence and then switch up the elements around the character. Like different animals, symbols, or little details that create new versions without losing the core identity.

I don’t want it to feel forced or repetitive tho. The goal is for each variation to actually make sense on its own, not just change things for the sake of it. Every element should bring something different to the vibe or the story.

Going live also helped a lot because I got real-time feedback. Sometimes a small suggestion makes me notice something I wasn’t even thinking about lol. I like that because it makes the whole process more dynamic and open.

On the technical side, I really focused on keeping the style consistent. Even if I change animals or other elements, I want everything to keep the same visual line and a clear identity, so the collection feels like it belongs to the same universe.

I’m also still figuring out how I’ll organize the future versions. Maybe some will feel more organic, others more symbolic, idk yet , but always respecting the original base that started all of this.

Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.

Oh, and one more thing before I wrap up...

A while ago I was looking for this little shark you see down here 🦈. It’s really special to me. I won it a long time ago here, n it was done by a person many years ago but also I consider a GREAT GREAT GREAT FRIEND now n who does amazing work , very talented🤗.

I thought I had lost it , I was very sad… but noooo! I got it back! Yes ! He found n sent it to me again, and I’m so happy to have it with me once more.
So from now on, this shark will be keeping me company 💙

Now yes! See you next time.
