Today I want to share with you my most recent illustration, which is the continuation of the previous art from the post you’ve already seen about the Squid Game. We’re now in the second round.

For this round, the theme was "blaze_stream", and I created my idea inspired by Pyro, the creature from the project.

I started with a pose — nothing detailed, just to have a rough idea of what I was going to do! I began in Corel Painter using a single layer.

I added a bit more detail, still working in grayscale. Some parts were more visible and defined, but there was still a lot to do.

I added a bit of color on the same layer to start moving forward and refining things. You can see some elements already, but there was still a lot of work ahead.

As I progressed, I added more elements and refined the details, trying to stay true to the original character while still adding my personal touch.

I still needed to add more elements and deepen the shadows. At the same time, I kept refining the illustration. I think at this point I had already moved to Photoshop — or I was about to — since I needed to do a few things that weren’t possible in Corel. I also made some size adjustments.

One thing I hadn’t focused on much until now was the hair, which needed to look like fire. I refined the texture a bit more.

For the final touches, I adjusted the colors a little, added the sword, added some highlights, and finished refining the remaining details.
