Managing Anger

If anyone have anger issues this what has helped me:

  • taking note and being mindful of my cues, some physical, some apparent in how I start talking
  • journaling about emotions, including anger and how I reflect on said emotions and the actions that I took
  • the realisation that anger should be prevented (if I deem that it should be) proactively, because that's easier than turning anger around reactively
  • the realisation that anger is me surpressing something else
  • practicing feeling my emotions and letting them be
  • practicing how to speak and what to say when said emotions come up
  • having an action plan ready when anger does come up (because it will definitely happen)
  • talking with people about how my anger has affected them
  • and a bit cheeky, but frankly everything that snowballs into the rest of your life; sleep, exercise, diet, et
