🌸 My Heart Beats In Iloilo City 🌸
Hello Hive friends ❣️❣️
How's your day going? I hope everything's well 🌞
I want to share a new place where I went walking.
This is The Iloilo River Esplanade.

It wasn't really our intention to go there, but as we were walking back to our hotel after a few kilometers of jogging, we passed by the entrance and saw the 15-foot statue of Datu Paiburong. He was the leader of the Bornean datus who went and settled here in Irong-Irong (now Iloilo City) and became a legendary ruler.

The statue was surrounded by plants and beautiful flowers. I can't help but stop and take photos 😊
Here are a few more of those pretty flowers I took around the statue and along the path.

These colorful flowers really added to the beauty of the esplanade. They give color to a gloomy. 😊

There were also tall trees along the path. It helps keep the temperature low during the summer. There were trellises to provide shade to people. I also saw a few benches where joggers can sit to rest, and some were doing their stretches and exercises. Can also be a rendezvous area, where you can quietly wait and relax at the same time. There was also a skateboard park at the end of the walkway, but we didn't go there because my legs were feeling a bit tired of jogging already 😁 Maybe on our next visit.

This walkway stretches up to more than a kilometer, with a scenic view of the Iloilo River. We saw a few birds flying over the river. Fish were jumping out of the water. It's nice to see the city progress over time, along with nature.

If you made it until the end of my blog, thank you so much ❤️
