Rockstar Games hat einen neuen coolen Trailer zu GTA6 veröffentlicht und seitdem kursieren auf Social Media wieder zahlreiche Gerüchte, dass GTA6 das erste Mal Krypto-Zahlungen mit Bitcoin, Ethereum und USDT einführen könnte.
Es gibt auch Gerüchte, dass GTA6 sogar ihre eigene in-game Currency RSTAR als Kryptowährung implementieren könnte. Das wäre natürlich der Hammer.
Und würde auch zum Vibe von GTA passen, das sich satirisch (und zumindest in den Anfängen nicht politisch-korrekt) mit aktuellen Entwicklungen auseinandersetzt. Und auch Geld spielt bei Grand Theft Auto schon immer eine große Rolle.
Das würde also perfekt passen.
Bezweifle aber, dass Rockstar den Schritt wagen wird, in dieser Hinsicht ist das Studio wahrscheinlich zu konservativ. Allerdings wenn sogar der US-Präsident Kryptos und NFTs launcht, warum soll das dann nicht auch ein Game-Studio machen können. Zumindest in den USA?
Was aber wahrscheinlicher ist, ist dass das Thema Bitcoin und Krypto in irgendeiner Form im Game vorkommen wird. Vermutlich wird es aber wieder für einen billigen Witz herhalten müssen.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Denkt ihr, dass GTA6 Kryptos integrieren könnte? Wie gefällt euch der Trailer? Release wurde mittlerweile auf 2026 verschoben.

Rockstar Games has released a cool new trailer for GTA6 and since then there have been numerous rumors circulating on social media again that GTA6 could introduce for the first time crypto payments with Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT.
There are also rumors that GTA6 could even implement its own in-game currency RSTAR as a cryptocurrency. That would of course be awesome.
And it would also fit in with the vibe of GTA, which takes a satirical (and, at least in the early days, not politically correct) look at current developments. And money has always played a major role in Grand Theft Auto as well.
So that would be a perfect fit.
But I doubt that Rockstar will take the plunge, the studio is probably too conservative in this regard. However, if even the US president launches cryptos and NFTs, why shouldn't a game studio be able to do the same? At least in the US?
What is more likely, however, is that the topic of Bitcoin and crypto will appear in the game in some form. But it will probably be used as a cheap joke again.
