Prelude
Good day to all, hope that you are doing well and battling often in Splinterlands. It is time again for another battle sharing on a match encounter that happened over the span of this week. Today I will be showcasing against a tough opponent that had an overwhelming presence over me until the final moments when Helmet Kharafax overturned the match outcome.
Helmet Kharafax, a card that is often overlooked in the past because it is just a card that has no attack which potential cannot really contribute much in a match much less use its blood lust ability because it cannot really kill anything maybe until level 7 onwards where damage reflected can maybe help give it some stat boost.
Card stats as seen below:

However, with the arrival of Weapons Training ability, a new lifeline was born into cards like Helmet Kharafax. So get's right on to the battle and see how a Weapon Trained Helmet Kharafax can overturn a match outcome.

Ruleset: Heavy Metal, Equalizer
Mana Limit: 45
Selection Analysis
We have 4 splinters available for selection - Fire, life, earth and dragon. This will allow us a big array of permutation to choose from. However with the heavy metal ruleset, it shrunk the initial big pool into a much more limited pool due to the need for cards with natural armour on them. And because of this, I know only my life splinter will have enough cards to fill the lineup and with sufficient versatility on abilities and attack types.
So here is my selection of the lineup. Right at the driver seat, I placed Imperial Knight which have a great deal of armour and at the same time being able to heal. It also possess Void Armour to handle some strong magic attackers as well. Next will be Corsair Bosun which is fantastic for an off tank and able to strike from 2nd position. It is also blast and thorns resistant. Nimbledook Explorer is up next which is an attack-less card but gives the lineup additional protection. Following will be the weapons trainer, Aves Sturgis that give both Nimbledook Explorer and the next card Helmet Kharafax 2 magic attack which is instrumental for us. Helmet Kharafax is next in line which is a super low mana cost card that has a big point to prove with Void, Blood Lust and Scavenge. Last will be Prismologist that is hard hitting and able to give blast on what it strikes on.
Now onto what my opponent with Elias Max Pruitt as summoner, which is an absolutely strong tactics summoner that is not easy to handle. For tank, opponent used Legionnaire Alvar which has void armour for magic repel and giant killer. Similar to me, Corsair Bosun was at the 2nd position with same purpose. Follow which is 2 sneakers in the likes of Dumacke Exile and Uraeus which aims at striking me from the back. Last but not least is Chaos Battle Mage with the crazy high range attack with piercing.
2 very different lineup and Elias Max Pruitt is tough to handle depending on how the tactics are deployed. Let's see how things unfold in this match.
Round by Round Synopsis
Round 1 - The match begin with loads of attacks flying around and opponent Corsair Bosun getting armoured strike which is gonna be tough for me. Immense attacks flew towards Imperial Knight and it couldn't sustain through the first round. I've manage to wind down quite a fair bit on Legionnaire Alvar's health as well.
Round 2 - Legionnaire Alvar was disposed early on but boy that armoured strike really hurt and shave off a big chunk of health from my Corsair Bosun. On the front, my own Corsair managed to sustain through this round and I can also see how my backline is in danger with Prismologist also hanging by a thread of health remain.
Round 3 - Chaos Battle Mage open the round by killing my Corsair Bosun and soon after one of the sneakers took out my Prismologist. Aves Sturgis also managed to kill off opponent's Corsair Bosun. Now it is down to 3 vs 3 with opponent having cards with faster speed to strike earlier.
Round 4 - As predicted, Nimebledook Explorer fell also immediately leaving me now to face 3 cards. But I spotted something, because of all the attacks and fallen warriers, Helmet Kharafax is now at 14 health.
Round 5, Ave Sturgis did what it needed to do and fell this round with Helmet Kharafax killing Dumacke Exile. Goal now is to ensure Helmet can sustain and overcome Uraeus. 1 v 2 right now.
Round 6-9, we took 2 rounds to dispose Uraeus and 2 more rounds to dispose Chaos Battle Mage with Helmet becoming stronger with each kill. What seemed like a close call was overturned when Helmet starts its engine after accumulating a tonne of health from all the fallen. Amazing win.
Battle Summary
An overlooked card in the past with no attacks came to life after having weapon trained. By sitting deep in the lineup, Helmet Kharafax was able to gain sufficient health to ensure enough girth to start clearing out opponent's cards one by one and bringing home the win. I throughly enjoyed the match and seeing how a 2 mana card dismembered my opponent's lineup.
