Lamento muchísimo el haber tardado en publicar nuevamente, aún cuando mi meta es ser más constante, se me hizo complejo tanto física como emocionalmente sentarme a escribir, aún cuando ya tenia listo este dibujo luego de dedicarle mucho cariño coloreando durante 3 días y estar vibrando de la sola idea de poder compartirlo, después de todo es otra Magical Girl súper especial para mi: la siempre llamativa y glamorosa Ahri ♥

I’m so sorry for taking so long on posting once more, even when my goal is to be constant, I found it to be a little complicated -both physically and emotionally- to sit down and write, even when the drawing was already done after dedicating so much love to it, coloring for about 3 days and basically vibrating on the idea of finally sharing it with the community. After all, this is another Magical Girl we are talking about, who is truly special for me: super eye-catching & ever glamorous, Ahri.
Cada que quería escribir, simplemente las palabras no me salían o no me expresaba de la forma correcta. Muchas cosas están pasando ahora mismo en el mundo, y la presión que causa espiritualmente para mi resulta abrumadora, aún cuando trataba de esforzarte por continuar haciendo las cosas que amo.
Sin embargo, luego de este largo break para respirar, creo que volver a abrir la carpetita donde tenía todo el contenido, me ha ayudado a sentirme con mejor ánimo. Especialmente porque de entre todas las Star Guardians, esta es una de mis favoritas más allá de su look o actitud, sino por como su historia es fundamental para todo el plot de esta Skinline. Espero que mi arte le haga justicia a este personaje

Yet, every time that I would attempt to start, words simply wouldn’t come out or I wasn’t expressing myself in the correct way. Many things are happening around the world right now, and the spiritual pressure I felt was truly overwhelming, no matter how much effort I attempted to place in order to proceed to do stuff I loved.
However, after this long break to breathe once more, I think opening the folder where I had all the visual content already prepared, has helped me to feel better. Especially because this is one of my favorites among all the Star Guardians beyond her look or attitude, but also due to how her own story is fundamental for all this skinline’s plot. I hope my art makes her justice!

☆: 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝓇 𝒢𝓊𝒶𝓇𝒹𝒾𝒶𝓃 𝓐𝓱𝓻𝓲 :☆
Trás el rotundo éxito de la primera entrega de Star Guardians en el 2016, Riot Games decidió proseguir con la historia en una especie de 'segunda temporada', de la cual Ahri es básicamente la protagonista. Una chica que a simple vista parece popular, inquebrantable, de actitud fuerte, confiada y una autoestima imposible de derribar. —Sin embargo eventualmente, con la aparición de una segunda Cinemática para esta skinline, nos damos cuenta que hay un trasfondo mayor a lo que la Gumiho nos muestra en la superficie.
Asunto en el que estuve pensando durante todo el tiempo en el que hacia el sketch para esta ocasión. Siempre suelo iniciar haciendo toda la forma del cuerpo, tratando de que sea lo más exacto posible antes de agregar la vestimenta. Tanto por practica para seguir recordando como dibujar la figura como para asegurar que las telas y demás se vayan a ver de forma adecuada ♥
Como dato particular, esta es la primera vez que procure realizar el torso antes que colocar la cabeza del personaje. Vi ese consejo en Twitter, y me quedó la curiosidad por intentarlo. — Admitiré que no es de mis métodos predilectos pero fue interesante de probar ♥
After the resounding success of the first release of Star Guardians in 2016, Riot Games decided to continue the story in some sort of 'second season, of which Ahri is basically the main character. A girl who at first glance seems popular, unbreakable, with a strong attitude, confidence, and a self-esteem that is impossible to knockdown. -However eventually, with the emergence of a second Cinematic, we realize that there's a bigger backstory to what the Gumiho shows us on the surface.
This is something I was thinking about during the whole time I was making the sketch for this occasion. I always start by making the whole body shape, trying to make it as accurate as possible before adding the clothing. Both for practice to keep remembering how to draw the figure and to make sure the fabrics and such are going to look the right way ♥
On a side note, this is the first time I tried to draw the torso before placing the head of the character. I saw that tip on Twitter, and I was curious to try it. - I'll admit it's not one of my favorite methods but it was interesting to try ♥

Si bien Colorear me produce un estado de Paz Mental, a su vez puede darme picos de ansiedad porque a veces me preocupa dañar accidentalmente todo. Creo que es la constante de haberme adaptado a bocetear y pintar por sobretodo a través de medios digitales más que tradicionales, aún cuando los acabados nunca tienen nada que envidiar.
Me gusta pensar que Hive me anima no solo a compartir mis trabajos, sino a seguir aprendiendo técnicas nuevas que en otra ocasión dejaría de lado.

While coloring gives me a state of Peace of Mind, it can also give me spikes of anxiety because sometimes I worry about accidentally damaging everything. I think it's the result of having adapted to sketching and painting mostly through digital rather than traditional mediums, even though the results never have anything to envy.
I like to think that Hive encourages me not only to share my work but to keep learning new techniques that I would otherwise neglect.
¿Se me permite ser extremadamente indulgente conmigo misma y decir que amo demasiado como su cabello comenzó a lucir en esta fase? ¡Ademas de su faldita! — aquí procure evitar crear sombras y brillos con colores demasiado similares. Para el color de su cabello trate de que las sombras fueran con creyón rosa y un poco de naranja, haciendo casi todo el lineart de esta área con bolígrafo glitter magenta ♥
En el caso de la falda me arriesgue a colocar tonos violetas como las sombras y amarillos para las luces ¡Aún no puedo dejar de verlo! Amo lo vibrante que comenzó a verse, dándole un toque sin duda mágico (✿◡‿◡)
Am I allowed to be extremely self-indulgent and say how much I truly love how her hair started to look at this stage? Besides, her little skirt! —as I tried to avoid creating shadows and highlights with colors that are too similar in range. For her hair's color, I made the shadows using pink crayon and a bit of orange too, doing almost all the lineart of this area with magenta glitter pens ♥.
For the skirt: I took the risk of placing purple tones as the shadows and yellow for the highlights I still can't stop looking at it by now! I love how vibrant it looks, giving it an undoubtedly magical touch (✿◡‿◡).
¡ Una Gumiho o Kitsune nunca estaría completa sin colitas afelpadas ! — Quise mantener ese estilo bonito que a veces Riot coloca en Ahri, de que sus nueve colas se juntan de una forma que parecen una grande y muy fluffy ; considerando que en esta imagen esta relajada y no en medio de atacar / defender ... además que creo le daba mejor armonía, y recorrido visual mientras el cabello mantiene más fluidez y dinamismo en su movimiento ♥
Este fue además el instante en que tuve que respirar profundo y casi hacer un poco de meditación: ¡ ¡ ¡ las Acuarelas estaban por ser incluidas una vez más ! ! !
A Gumiho or Kitsune would never be complete without plush tails! — I wanted to keep that cute style that Riot sometimes places on Ahri, that her nine tails come together in a way that they look like a single big and very fluffy one; considering that in this image she is relaxed and not in the middle of attacking/defending... I also believe that it gave her better harmony, and visual path as the hair keeps more fluidity and dynamism in its movement ♥
This was also the moment when I had to take a deep breath and almost do some meditation: the Watercolors were about to be included once again ! ! !
Al final decidí solo usarlas en la cinta para su frase en esta ocasión, e intentar pintar el fondo utilizando únicamente colores nuevamente, sin embargo, admito que siempre me encantara el acabado que le da usar esta herramienta. Quizás en próximas publicaciones me anime para hacer algo más exclusivo con esta técnica ♥
Finalmente solo coloque los últimos detalles con los bolígrafos glitter y respire profundamente: ¡Lo había logrado! ¡Otro dibujo más hecho meramente de forma tradicional para mi pequeño portafolio de alegrías!
¡Y todo se veía tan divino y con colores tan cálidos que me iluminaba el corazón tanto por lo vibrantes que se veían los tonos, por lo mucho que aprecio a este personaje!

In the end, I decided to just use them on the band for her quote this time and tried to paint the background using only crayons, however, I admit that I will always love the final results that using this tool gives you. Maybe in future posts, I will be motivated to do something more exclusive with this technique ♥
Finally, I just put the ultimate touches on the glitter pens and took a deep breath to relax: I had done it! One more drawing was done purely in the traditional way for my little portfolio of happiness!
And everything looked so divine and with such warm tones that it lit up my heart so much both because of how vibrant the tones looked, and due to how much I appreciate this character!

"Si nuestra historia no Cambiará, yo lo Hare!" y "Esta vez, nosotros decidimos Nuestros Propios Destinos" son frases de esta hermosa cinematica.
Ahri busca cambiar el modo en que las Star Guardians han tenido que proteger el Universo, siempre sacrificando más de ellas de lo que cualquiera debería pedir.
Nos damos cuenta de los riesgos que corren y de las presiones emocionales por igual a las que se someten con tal de cumplir la misión encomendada por la Estrella Prima ; y dos años después Riot volvió a ofrecernos una continuación de esto con la cinemática **Light & Shadows** (que por cierto no puedo ver sin llorar inevitablemente cada vez), donde nos presentan la idea de que un mal mayor esta corrompiendo a las Star Guardians y es precisamente la razón de Ahri tenga una actitud demasiado seria y dura ante la forma más inocente e ingenua con que Lux ve las cosas.
Ella no ha pasado aún por la tristeza, luto y decepción que Ahri ha llevado a través de esta misión. Ella no ha tenido que ocultar bajo una increíble presión el hecho de ser Líder conociendo los graves peligros y consecuencias que un solo error puede causar, la carga que debe sentir sobre su espalda al tener que guiar a las demás... ¡Me recordó de forma asombrosa , al menos en sentimiento, a una de las canciones de Encanto: "Surface Pressure"!
A continuación les coloco un Cover de la misma realizado por **Annapantsu** en Youtube, que mantuve sonando mientras coloreaba este fanart y cuya voz me hace pensar inevitablemente en este personaje cantando las líricas.

Ahri seeks to change the way the Star Guardians have had to protect the Universe, always sacrificing more of themselves than anyone should ask for.
We get a sense of the risks they take and the emotional pressures they put themselves under in order to fulfill the mission given to them by the Prime Star ; and two years later Riot returned to offer us a continuation of this with the emotive cinematic **Light & Shadows** (which by the way I can't watch without crying inevitably every time), where we are presented with the idea that a greater evil is corrupting the Star Guardians and is precisely the reason why Ahri has a too serious and hard attitude in front of the more innocent and naive way in which Lux sees things.
She has not yet gone through the sadness, mourning and disappointment that Ahri has carried through this duty. She hasn't had to hide under incredible pressure the fact of being a Leader knowing the severe dangers and consequences a single mistake can cause, the burden she must feel on her back having to guide her team....
It reminded me amazingly , at least in feeling, of one of the songs from Encanto: "Surface Pressure"!

Desde hacia mucho tiempo había deseado pintar a Ahri particularmente, así que en esta ocasión trate de hacerlo con el mayor cariño posible a su vez que me inundaba de feelings rememorando cuanto amo este universo de skins y toda su temática cada vez más profunda, hermosa y única en medio del género Mahou Shoujo (❁´◡`❁)
Corre el rumor que habrá otra entrega de skins SG este año, y estoy más que entusiasmada por proseguir pintándolas a todas ¡Sueño y casi que pongo velitas para manifestar que otra de mis champions favoritas entre a la categoría!
Pero mientras, continuare disfrutando haciendo fanart de cada una de ellas en mi estilo, enamorándome una y otra vez con cada diseño — ¡Ya estoy llena de toneladas de motivación para iniciar nuevamente! ♥
For a long time I had wanted to paint Ahri in particular, so this time I tried to do it with as much fondness as possible while flooding myself with feelings remembering how much I love this universe of skins and all its deep, gorgeous, and unique theme in the middle of the Mahou Shoujo genre (❁'◡`❁).
Rumor has it that there will be another release of SG skins this year, and I'm more than excited to continue painting them all. I dream and almost place little candles to manifest that another one of my favorite champions will enter this story!
But in the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy making fanart of each one of them in my style, falling in love over and over again with their designs — I'm already filled with tons of motivation to get started with the next one! ♥
