Gestern erreichte mich eine Nachricht, dass ein langjähriger Freund ums Leben kam. Dieter kannte ich noch aus meiner Studienzeit. Wir hatten längere Zeit kaum Kontakt, bis wir uns beim Tanken an einer Tankstelle wieder gefunden haben. Seitdem war der Kontakt stetig. 2020 ist er beruflich nach Taiwan gegangen. Lernte dort eine Frau kennen und kam nie wieder zurück. Über Telegram standen wir im Kontakt. Seine letzte Nachricht war ein Link zu einer Band, die ich hier vorstelle.
Yesterday, I received the news that a longtime friend had passed away. I had known Dieter since my university days. For a long time, we barely had any contact until we unexpectedly ran into each other at a gas station while refueling. From that moment on, we stayed in regular touch. In 2020, he moved to Taiwan for work. He met a woman there and never came back. We kept in contact through Telegram. His last message to me was a link to a band — the one I would like to introduce here.
