The early Rays of Sun started to hit our face and the day got more brighter. It was a round seven thirty in the morning and we saw gaddi dogs there. It is a local breed of dog commonly found at himachal pradesh. They are friendly loving and like other dogs smart and pretty. Here is one picture I've taken of this dog we found early morning on our way to Tungnath.
**The Himalayan Gaddi Dog**
In this picture you can see that we ever were finding our way or the safer side of the way to walk cause the whole path was covered by ice and it was slippery and risky.
**Beautiful Morning View And The Icy Trail**
Let's appreciate the beauty of mountains here. As the sunrays hit the mountains, the peaks looked more defined and it was all beautiful and lovely.
Here we decided to take some pictures cause the view was beautiful and the background was covered with snow. And this is me posing and this picture is clicked by my friend.
**Me With Blackey**
It was so cold out there, our cheeks and nose started to turn red but the view was absolutely insane. And here are some more pictures that we have taken with the random gaddi dogs. We named this dog as blackey cause of it's thick black coat. I love dogs and I find them as the best creatures on the earth, do let me know your favorite animal in the comments. After taking some of the pictures, we started to explore the area around and to my surprise I found different type of plants there and even on such cold weather the leaves of the plants were
still green.I was at a very high altitude and as you guys know that it's difficult to find vegetation at higher altitude and by looking at these plants , I was really surprised. Here are some of the pictures I have clicked.
**Vegetation At Altitude Of 3600 Meters**
Not the whole area was covered with snow, there was a thick layer of snow somewhere and on sunny sides there was no snow as shown in the picture above.
While roaming around, I found some different
types of bushes around and they suddenly caught my attention. I went forward and started to take pictures of them. The plants found here are genuinely the oak pine and deodorant trees. Also lots of medicine plants are also found here But they can't be distinguished easily. And only those who have proper knowledge about it can find them.
**Beautiful Bushes**
These branches with snow in the background looked so beautiful that I couldn't resist myself.I clicked lots of pictures of them. I suddenly heard a different voice while I was taking pictures and I thought it might be some wild animal and honestly I got scared.
I kept following the voice and to my surprise I found out it's peacock. But I was still in doubt as peacocks are not found at higher altitude that too at 3680 meters. They're usually found at grassland, lower altitude and near human settlements. Can you guess what it is?
Himalayan Monal
**Himalayan Monal- The State Bird Of Uttarakhand**
Actually it's the state bird of Uttarakhand - Monal Pheasant or The Himalayan Monal. I was so happy and full of excitement and I couldn't believe myself that I somehow spotted the state bird of Uttarakhand.
I don't wanted to disturb it so I didn't go close and here are some beautiful pictures I have clicked with my camera.
The Himalayan Monal was roaming here and there and was also making some unique noise. I was enjoying it all while capturing pictures.
The Monal somewhat looks like a peacock cause of it's vibrant colors and shape. This bird is native of Himalayas and is often spotted in forest and meadows along the Tungnath trek. This trek was full of surprises and adventures and so far I loved it.
Monal is usually found at the altitude of 3000 to 4000 meters between Himalayan forest and alpine meadows. And they are commonly found in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Nepal and Bhutan.
If this doesn't encourage you to do this trek that I don't know what else would. Well that's all for today's blog and for more surprises stay connected for the upcoming blogs. I hope you enjoyed the blog and loved the pictures as much as I do.
I'm grateful for the love and support.
