Hello my wonderful friends of the #cleanplanet community, today I played my role in keeping my street clean and waste free as it should be, as inhabitants of the earth, it is of utmost important that we play our role by giving back to nature and our environment. This is done by ensuring that we keep the earth clean always and that is what I actually signed up for which is the major reason why I joined this community.
So earlier today, I was very busy with house chore but I had it in mind that I must clean the planet today and so, immediately I finished my usual chore the sun was already scorching but I did not hesitate to do the needful. I put on my gloves, I remember the last time I picked trash even though I used a stick to aid the picking but I still soiled my hands, so I tried to buy some gloves yesterday so I could use them for my cleaning and picking today.
In this post I would be sharing with you all how my cleaning went for the day, stepping outside the gate of my house I noticed that everywhere along the street, at one corner or the other was filled with sachet of water. In Nigeria, everyone knows how we are used to drinking sachet water often called “pure water” and since you can hardly find waste cans along streets people end up drinking the sachet water and littering everywhere with the empty sachet. As a matter of fact, if you are in any street even if you do not notice any other thing you will always notice the innocent empty sachet of waters flying around the street and that is not so good .
So I decided to tackle the one in my street today, I picked them all into the waste bin. For me I do not just like dumping refuse especially the non biodegradable ones. I rather prefer burning them, so I emptied the content of my waste basket and then I set them on fire for proper burning.
That was how my cleaning for today turned out, you can view every bit of the picking in the pictures. I am happy alas the sun could not stop me from cleaning the planet today and so I urge everyone to try and ensure cleanliness in and out because that is the way we could help our sustain our planet.
