Hola, mi querida comunidad de anime. Espero que se encuentren muy bien. En esta grata oportunidad, quiero presentarles una película bastante buena sobre vampiros. Sin embargo, no sigue la misma línea cinematográfica de siempre; es bastante cruda y con mucha acción. Así es, estoy hablando de "Blood: The Last Vampire". Espero que les agrade.
Our story unfolds in 1966, specifically during the Vietnam War, primarily at Yokota Air Base in Japan, a U.S. military base. The atmosphere is thick with constant tension as it's discovered that creatures other than what's expected are infiltrating the base. This is where Saya comes in, a young woman with a cold, piercing gaze and a youthful appearance, who always wears a student sailor uniform, but is actually a special agent—the closest thing to a pureblood vampire—trained to eliminate these monsters.

The conflict escalates considerably when it's discovered that chiropteran monsters, capable of assuming human form and requiring blood to survive, have appeared at the military base school. Saya is sent before Halloween to investigate and eliminate these creatures. Things worsen when she discovers the monsters hiding in a photograph of nurses and begins to hunt them down. The situation turns bloody and violent, culminating in Saya defending and protecting the school's head nurse, Linda, who witnesses the hunt at the seminary and, in turn, discovers Saya's true nature.

She manages to corner and mortally wound the monsters on the base's platform, thus protecting the base, the school, and the survivors left after the attacks. She shows no emotion or empathy whatsoever; upon completing her mission, she simply leaves in silence, while the base's agents clean up the entire scene of the massacre to conceal the evidence. Thus ends the film, a 48-minute dose of pure adrenaline. An interesting fact about this film is that it was the origin of the Blood+ and Blood-C series, which explore Saya's origins, the monsters, and how the events of the first film unfolded in greater depth. In other words, they follow a reverse chronological order.
Logra acorralar y herir de muerte a los monstruos en el andén de la base, protegiendo así la base, la escuela y a los sobrevivientes que quedaron tras los ataques. No muestra ningún tipo de emoción ni empatía; al terminar su misión, simplemente se marcha en silencio, mientras los agentes de la base limpian toda la escena de la masacre para ocultar las evidencias. Así termina la película, durmiendo 48 minutos de pura adrenalina. Un dato interesante sobre esta película es que fue el origen del universo de las series Blood+ y Blood-C, donde se exploran más a fondo los orígenes de Saya, los monstruos y cómo se desarrollaron los desenlaces de la primera película. Es decir, que siguen un orden cronológico inverso.
I recommend watching this film primarily because it's the origin of the previous series I've mentioned and because it offers a better understanding of this type of production, in addition to boasting excellent animation. The protagonist doesn't fit the standard of the perfect, lucid, and elegant white vampire; she's the complete opposite of that stereotype. Personally, I love anime, films, and series that break with what we're used to seeing in these genres. Furthermore, she's not the type of hero who fulfills her duty empathetically or amicably, but rather maintains a cold demeanor from beginning to end.
Recomiendo ver esta película principalmente porque es el origen de las series anteriores que ya he mencionado y porque permite comprender un poco mejor este tipo de producciones, además de contar con una excelente animación. La protagonista no encaja en el estándar del vampiro blanco perfecto, lúcido y elegante; es todo lo contrario a este estereotipo. Personalmente, me encantan los animes, películas y series que rompen con lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver en dichos géneros. Además, no es el tipo de héroe que cumple su deber de manera empática o amistosa, sino que mantiene una postura fría desde el principio hasta el final.
