How are we to know if our partner is meant for us by God? Let's examine the scripture below:
Proverbs 19:14 - House and riches are the inheritance of fathers and a prudent wife is from the Lord
The passage above says it all. Now it is up to us to test the prudence and decide that partner of yours is actually meant for you. We are to look out for the quality of prudence in that person. This prudence has to come from God, not the prudence of this earth. Because the Bible speaks of spiritual things and matters. Not the prudence of those who are prudent about the things of the world.
1 Corinthians 1:19 - For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
When the Bible speaks of a prudent wife, it is prudence that comes from the Lord.
A prudent wife or a prudent husband.
We can see that there is prudence that is nothing in the sight of the Lord. If we cannot see prudence in that partner, then we should postpone it. Perhaps, wait for another to come along our way.
After all, there are so many men and there are so many women on earth. So instead rushing into a lifetime commitment that we may regret, it is better to wait for the right time.
