No man in the history of humanity has ascended to heaven into the high heavens where the paradise is. They all died in faith. They are not in heaven yet.
They are still waiting for the resurrection so that they may go to heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11
39.And these all having obtained a good report through faith received not the promise.
40.God having provided some better thing for us that they without us should not be made perfect.
Perfection, salvation and glory will come simultaneously to all men of God, to all people of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is disciplining our thinking when He said, no man had ascended up to heaven but He that came down from heaven. The time of Enoch and Elijah have passed before the Lord Jesus Christ came to the earth in the form of a human being and when He was preaching He said, no man had ascended up to heaven.
If Elijah is a man and Enoch is a man therefore they did not ascend to the heaven. Enoch was translated into another place and all those prophets including Elijah died but have not received the promise. Having this knowledge will discipline our thinking into knowing that no man is now already in heaven. Only that one who descended from heaven ascended into heaven, which is our Lord Jesus.
