Growing up, my father always play basketball and hanging out with college players. Then on I want to be a basketball player. Since 7 years old, I was playing basketball. My father always pushes me to my limits. I was 8 years old when I was invited to play for UV (University Of The Visayas) Under 10. I declined the invitation because I want to play another sport which is soccer. Yeah, I know. It is my dream to play basketball since 7 years old and I have an opportunity to play for a major team in Cebu and I declined the invitation. That time basketball is just a happy pill, I don’t think that basketball will help me earn a full scholarship, money and opportunities.

I choose soccer at that time because I like to be deferent. All my friends are playing basketball so I want to play soccer. To cut the story short, I Played soccer for almost 2 years. In my age bracket, I was good. Good enough to earn another opportunity. My club which is the “Warshocks” they offered me to play for the under 12, that time I was 9 years old. I declined the offer again because I’m not mentally ready.
After couple of months, I stopped playing football. I realized I really want to be in the big leagues (CESAFI, UAAP, NCAA, PBA and NBA) It is a tough decision to quit football. University of the Visayas offered me a full scholarship at 10 years old. To cut the story short. I played for UV. It was a great 4 years. We won a championship. We travel a lot, and play with the best teams in the Philippines. It is one of the best moments in my life.

4 years in University of The Visayas. It’s time to move on and go took the better opportunity which is the Don Bosco Technical College. Yes, I’m a Bosconian. I only have 2 playing years left before I will enter the CESAFI. That 2 playing years will be crucial because if I will mess it up, I can’t get any offer or my dreams of playing in the CESAFI will be gone. I’m super blessed that Don Bosco Grey Wolves welcomed me, I enjoy playing in a grey and blue uniform.

After 2 great years, Cebu Eastern College offered me a spot for the upcoming season 19 of the CESAFI basketball. I didn't hesitate and go pursue my dreams of playing in a high level of basketball here in Cebu. I'm blessed and grateful. Playing in front of hundreds of people and wearing the school’s name, I’m grateful every moment.

As people says, every great moment has a bad moment. My playing years in highschool basketball is cut short due to COVID 19. Now I'm sitting here waiting for the come back. Every ups and down we people should be grateful. No matter how big or small, we should appreciate. Dreams are for real if you will do the work. Do everything in your power, don't stop until you're proud.
