Hello everyone! I am recently new to Steemit and plan on blogging here daily for a while. My friend from college @ackza was raving about Steemit so I decided to give it a try. My goal is to write both long, detailed articles and short sufficient ones as well. I figured a small introduction would be sufficient so that people can have an idea of who I am and what my interests are. Below are photos that I've taken from different places in the world.

Hardanger Fjord, Norway
My intent on Steemit is to cover a wide range of subject matter that I have diligently studied and followed over the course of my life. My main interests cover psychology, politics, philosophy, economics, literature, music, and film, but I will also dabble into physics, biology, sociology, video games, crypto currencies like Bitcoin, and pop culture at large. My goal is provide readers with a wide range of subjects so that they can be intellectually engaged and inspired beyond what would be considered the ordinary blog experience.

Another Fjord, Norway
I posted these photos not only for eye candy but also to illustrate that I've travelled quite a bit in my life. I tend to embark to exotic and grand places like the fjords of Norway or the mountains of Switzerland. I've been fortunate enough to have travelled to 25 nations outside the United States and I intend to experience more of the world before I someday kick the bucket.

Sils Maria, Switzerland
I was able to travel to Sils Maria in 2013. Sils Maria was a favorite location to study and write for the often-quoted German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. While visiting the gorgeous location, I was able to make it to the Nietzsche House where he stayed for many summers writing his philosophical texts. I have read all the works of Nietzsche and I intend to write about his philosophy and its relevance at some point. Here is a list of other philosophers and psychologists whose texts I have immersed myself in with great satisfaction: Carl Jung, Plato, Arthur Schopenhauer, Hyman Minsky, Steve Keen, Georges Bataille, Michel Foucault, Wilhelm Reich, and Sigmund Freud, to name a few.

Sils Maria Switzerland
I've been fortunate enough to have lived in different places across the country like Northern California, Washington DC, and Austin, Texas. I currently reside in San Diego CA but I'm not sure how much longer that will last since I have a tendency to get "happy feet" and want to live in a whole new setting. My behavior is nomadic by nature and I have difficulty settling down with either a specific city or girlfriend.

Kyoto, Japan
Out of all the places I've visited, the nation I want to revisit the most is Japan. I only had time to visit Tokyo and Kyoto, but someday I will visit for at least a month and see more of the country side and see the less populated areas so I can experience more of Japanese culture. That's a small introduction of myself, I may add more at a later time.
