FIRST-TIMER

Hey Hiveans. Hi Pinmapplers รท) ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ

It's the first time I'll be posting in this community and it surely won't be the last. I mean I visit, I like like what I see, but I don't have anything to put out.
Last week though, I travelled to a pretty pretty location and took some pictures... walk with me and enjoy!
PS: you've gotta forgive my photography skills, I really don't have any.

The location is Iwollo, in Ezeagu, a village in Enugu State, Nigeria ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ. More specifically, it's a Conference Centre.

Bad bad photography, I know. Pardon me. Anyhoo, that's like the reception area. There's a big rectangular mirror opposite me and a table under it, where there are pamphlets and boxes, and key holders, and stuff for visitors. Yep, use your imagination ๐Ÿ˜‹.

This is a better shot huh?

I just like the wooden furniture and the African print. Now I wish I captured more of this room. You must pardon me. :)

On the sides of this corridor are an office, a room I'll soon show you, a seminar room (with the ambience of a conference room), and the living room. Yeah, I'll show you the latter too. It's really nice. I caught myself just staring. I'm glad I remembered to take a shot.

This is a corner where I spent half my time, reading books and enjoying the fresh air from behind. The chairs were super comfy.

Now, here's the room I told you about. It's cozy, and there's just enough to behold. You could admire what's going on in the table, or you could admire this โฌ‡๏ธ wall.

I'm sure you can imagine where it is, just opposite the chairs you saw in the previous image. The door opens in front of it. It's a reading/meditation room, I think. The chair on the left is a sofa. The general atmosphere in the room seems to be saying, "hey, come sit, have some peace and quiet, and just think, or read or meditate."

This framed painting is right above the sofa.

I tried to snap it without having my reflection in the photo. I succeded but it's got a weird angle. Haha. I hope it still looks cool.

Time for the living room. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿพ

Okay, it's not like it's my favourite place in the entire building so I don't even know why I'm dancing. But I guess it's worth the dance. Hehe, yeah it is. Do you agree? Love the sloped ceiling though.

A clearer picture of the wooden plate on the table.

Another clearer picture.
Art is beautiful! African art is priceless.

This looks like Aladin's mat. It's in the living room too, just on the wall, in front of which I took the widest shot from.

When you look at the picture of the living room, you'll notice some glasses without curtains. They're sliding doors, leading to where I found this.

It looks like I could've been here right? Well, it's just a painting. Here's what it really is.

And from this space, you can see this. โฌ‡๏ธ

Hmmmm, green, green, green. Fresh.

Another wing shows more greenery. And then a group of artwork depicting some African traditional religion gods and/or masquerades.

Clearer/upclose/fav. subgroup.

Just beyond this passageway, are the living quarters. The Conference Centre hosts visitors all year long, but in parts. Some conferences, or retreats last 2 full days, others, 3.

I only took pictures of fascinating things and places, but the rest of the rooms, corridors, spaces, were perfectly neat and tidy, and beautiful and really, that's a rarity down here. It shows a commitment to the managerial work and an apt attention to detail. I hope to visit other conference centres run by the same group (Opus Dei, a Catholic community), in other countries of the world. Especially to compare, not the neatness, but the general reception. Would it be peculiar to the region? I think so.

Thank you for watching ๐Ÿ˜, and reading. I promise to do better at camera capturing. If only my eyes could be my camera, for your sake. Hehe.

For now though, I make do with my Samsung A22 phone camera.

Until next time. ๐Ÿค—
