I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (
GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
As I'm sure most of you noticed, all versions of Ecency, the release website, the V3 website, and the mobile app, were all mostly non-functional yesterday. I couldn't do anything useful, and because of it I wasn't able to do any catching up on my notifications last night, I'm starting the day two days behind on them. Thankfully I kept checking in on the #issues channel on the Ecency Discord server, and this morning I saw it mentioned that there's one Hive node that's working well, techcoderx.com, which is an option in the server settings of the mobile app (though unfortunately not in either version of the website). Once I changed to that server, the Ecency app finally began working, and I was able to at least start catching up on my notifications a bit this morning.

Yes, I could have used another frontend such as PeakD, which continued working smoothly for me, to go through and respond to my notifications, but given that I use Ecency for that because of the Ecency Points and Leaderboard benefits, I decided to make good use of my time and focus on other things that I've been needing to do, but up until last night had not done. I did get a few important things done, both on and off Hive, so I'm grateful for that.
As to why Ecency was borked, apparently the devs were making some changes, and there does also seem to be a node issue involved as well. Because Hive is community run, issues like this are not uncommon, which can, at times (like last night), be extremely inconvenient. Usually I adapt, improvise, overcome, and find a way, but last night I took a mini-vacation instead (to do other work...lol).
While downtime like this can definitely have a negetive effect on our income, I've learned to have more patience with it, and to dance with it better. This is also one of the many reasons that I've been working so diligently to create and grow multiple streams of passive income, so that when things like this occur, I still have other income sources flowing.
I find it very helpful to see Hive as a dance that changes and shifts overtime, and that is not entirely consistent, which only exercises our ability to pathfind a way through unexpected challenges, thus growing our awareness and understanding of our Ecosystem. There's nothing corporate in Hive, it's all community-driven, and I'll take that any day over the (not just financial) cost of corporate reliability. I'm incredibly grateful that everything works as well as it does!

Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, a bit delayed by Ecency not working, a little after 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for these posts, and straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao) in the Landing. With those done (I still wanted to get a few more photos later), I got my machete and collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible foliage for cow-milking food, took another round of photos in the early-evening light, and finally I went to work in my nursery for a while, up-potting and re-potting various plants in need, which felt very satisfying. After working in my nursery, I took a shower, picked up my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the Landing fridge, and I made my way back to the Flow House, to dive into my evening Hive tasks, and (hopefully) to catch up on my notifications (not!). Of course I wasn't able to check my notifications, so as mentioned above, I found several other tasks to do (updating my post-template tags on PeakD and PeakD Beta, doing some needed maintenance on the Arch Linux installation running on my new laptop, resolving a posting issue on DeSo, and some asset management), before finally going to bed, way too late, just after 1AM. I woke up just before 7:30AM, after having thankfully slept well, doing more asset management, starting on this post, and doing some initial catching up on my notifications, before getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, and then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 1PM, so quite an excellent time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a bit later in the afternoon, to first focus on photography for these posts and for my entry in the Reflection Hunters Contest, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my entry for the contest later tonight, and the next edition of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
