A walk on the wooden path on the edge of Lake Ștei in Bihor county, Romania
Hello travelers
Last weekend we had big plans to visit some very beautiful places in Bihor county, one of the places I already presented in the last blog (if you haven't visited my blog about the wooden church in Sebiș you can see it
here), and the second place is the lake Ștei.
What convinced us to come here?
Searching on the internet for interesting places in Bihor County, in a publication I saw that somewhere at the end of 2023 the agreement place at Lake Ștei was inaugurated.
I went on that page to see what it was all about, it was love at first sight, I saw some pictures that convinced me that I wanted to visit that place.
I was very curious if this place is the same as in that publication, from my own experience I can say that reality often does not correspond to the advertisement.
A few kilometers before reaching the lake area we could see that the authorities want very much to enhance this place, from the town of Ștei to the outskirts of the city the whole road is paved and the road is almost ready and more there is a bike path that effectively connects the city center with the lake agreement area.
Just before we reached the lake we could find a parking lot for the car and from here we walked, looking closer I could see that there was also a path for a trail through the forest.
What makes this place special?
Look, on one side of the lake a wooden path has been built, and on the other side of the lake wooden gazebos have been built.
Let's not waste any more time, come with me to explore Lake Ștei directly from the wooden path.
You know what I noticed here, the silence, a silence where you could hear only the sounds of nature, this area of Lake Ștei is a little over 3 hectares, but it is absolutely fantastic.
The wooden path is built on the edge of the lake through the forest, now even if nature has not yet come back to life the place is amazing (I can't wait to come here in the summer).
I couldn't believe that the place looks much better in reality than in the pictures on the internet, after a few steps on the wooden path I noticed some fishermen on the edge of the lake (it seems that fishing is not forbidden here).
After a few more steps we came across a small but beautiful waterfall and a zip-line.
After more than 10 minutes we arrived at the end of the wooden path, I think the length of the wooden path is 700-800 meters (that's how much I appreciated), here we saw that the water is frozen and the whole area is full of reeds.
We started to explore the other side of the lake, where we found even more fishermen but also those places to relax, wooden gazebos and areas where you could have a campfire/barbecue.
Now at the end of today's blog, I can say that I can spend a whole day here without getting bored, I almost forgot, starting from the parking lot to the access to the lake and the wooden gazebo is absolutely free.
THE END!
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
