Movies are influential in the mentality of people who are addicted to watching movies and in the society as a whole. Our society sometimes is being molded by the kinds of shows it watches. Is there danger in watching movies? Yes there is!
Movies are being used by satan to influence the entire world. 1 John 2:15;
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them."
Movies create or tickle the lust of the eyes, there are movies that make you lust through your eyes, one of the dangers of watching movies, other things are the insemination of unrighteous thinking and ideas in life, like not being ashamed to flirt about when an actor is portrayed in the role of someone who is a womanizer or maybe the lady is portrayed as someone who plays the lead role of an unfaithful wife or a playgirl, someone with many partners. These are the ideas in movies that are dangerous to the principles of simple people like christians. Christians are simple people with simple teachings, 2 Corinthians 11:3;
"But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ".
The minds of christians are simple minds and these simple minds can be corrupted by the ideas that are seen in movies. The Bible is there to be read, preachings to be watched, to enrich our souls, spirit and minds, if movies are to be watched, there are documentaries and scientific movies.
