Spring. The storks have already returned to our region and some have already managed to get the chicks out. This means that the chances of new pets appearing in my house are very high. This happens if the chicks lose their parents for some reason.
Storks are amazing creatures. They belong to the so-called synanthropic birds, that is, birds living next to humans. Storch chicks, if they lose their parents for some reason and were brought up by humans, can become wonderful pets. I've seen it more than once in my own house.
The stork chicke is a funny and curious creature. It is no different from a puppy. It will accompany you everywhere and be interested in everything you do. A branch, a beetle or a worm are great toys for it.
Can such a chiccup return to the wild? If you live in an area where there are many other storors, then the probability of this is quite high. If a bird can fly, sooner or later it begins to socialise with other birds. And that's great news.
In autumn, storks gather in flocks and fly away to the southern countries. But now it's not always like that. Moreover, your pet can make a different decision. I had a stork that flew perfectly, but nevertheless refused to leave my yard. And why? It had an excellent feed base and protection here 😁
P.S. In the photo you can see an adult bird. The young stork has a black beak and legs.
