My garden helpers

Gardening in a house with a lot of animals is a real quest. Especially weeds. Yes, weeds are a real nightmare. But the problem is that I can't use any chemistry, because what grows in my garden forms the basis of my rabbit's diet.
But I have my helpers, chickens. They have a lot of advantages! First of all, my chickens are tiny, a little bigger than a pigeon. Their weight is minimal, so they are completely safe for almost all plants.
And, secondly, it's no secret that chickens love to dig the ground, digging up grains and roots, and worms. Of course, I take advantage of their habit. In the last two photos you can see how it happens. I made a place for my future seedlings and for now I left it as it is, without touching the weeds. And then the chickens came there. They loosened the ground perfectly and removed all the weeds. There are two more months ahead, when they will be able to continue their work. By the time I plant my seedlings in the ground, I will not be able to worry about weeds, my chickens will not give them a single chance.
This is a great method of gardening 😉
This is what I call living in harmony with my animals. Our cohabitation is cooperation. I feed them and take care of their health, and they do what they love in nature, but at the same time I use their natural habits for our common good. Of course, this does not apply to my dogs, whose main habit is to sleep on my bed 😂
