As many know on August 21 there will be a total solar eclipse for most of Western Kentucky as well as many other areas. BUT Western has been tagged as the longest viewing point! Now the local news are telling this area to prepare as if we were having another ice storm.
During the ice storm, NO ONE PREPARED INCLUDING THE NEWS REPORTERS....
Look I understand that this area is expecting well over 1 million people. Highways and Interstates are going to be a traveling nightmare! Gas station are expected to have fuel shortages... OKAY PREPARE FOR THE TRAVELERS
Grocery stores may have empty shelves. They can double up on orders.
We may run out of things, be short on others BUT its not like trees slowly crack and lay across the roads. Electric lines will not be torn down by a heavy coating of ice or from a tree taking them out! The roads are not going to be ICY and a COMPLETE danger!
Common sense in heavy traffic.... slow down pay attention. Get plenty of sleep so you can be alert!
I don't plan to spend $$$$ on extra food, batteries, flash lights, and such. Its warm, and with our weather its not HOT! The sun sets every evening. It will not be a pitch black day, and it is only gonna last around 2 mins!
I pray that everyone plays safe and enjoys this event!
