As a food lover, I always look forward to weekends because those are days I get to do a lot of things without the interference of work.   Weekends are also the time I get to try out new food recipes while bonding with my family.   During weekends,I cook in large quantities because we always get visitors on weekends, especially on Sundays.   As a food lover, I love to try out new recipes and taste something different from the normal food I eat. This has helped me to cope when I visit other communities with different delicacies.   I love to satisfy the cravings of my twin sister and my elderly grandma. These two are quite hard to satisfy and have often put my cooking skills to the test. My sister might decide that she wants me to skip a particular procedure to arrive at a taste, and Grandma might also decide that she wants the procedure to take place, which definitely puts me in a dilemma.   What did I do? I just decided to cook the meals individually.   Nigerian meals are always a sight to behold; they are rich in taste. Nigeria is a country with over 250 ethnic groups. Each tribe has delicacies that are peculiar to it. The most popular Nigerian dish is Nigerian jollof rice.   On Saturday,I woke up around 6 a.m.I had an event to prepare for later in the day, so I had to get up early to prepare breakfast.   IMG-20231021-WA0019.jpg

I made some fries, accompanied by peas and ketchup. What a combination!
I had to do my house chores before rushing out of the house to attend my cousin's convocation ceremony at the University of Ilorin.

In the afternoon, I had a plate of the popular Nigerian jollof rice at the afterparty of the convocation ceremony. Here in Nigeria, a party without Nigerian jollof is termed "incomplete".

Later in the afternoon, I came back home. I bought a piece of mackerel on my way home. I cooked pasta and stewed fish for dinner.

We don't cook on Sunday mornings. Sundays are for rice, so I know I'll definitely cook fried rice later in the day. For now, everyone is off to church.

Thanks for coming to my blog!
