Yes. You read it right. But I don't care. (Ok, I do, but there is no giving up)
I mean… most of you already know how much I love building LEGO.
And repeat after me… LEGO, not Legos! 😤 ( you know this already 😌)
Say Legos and you’re banned from the LEGO group. No discussion. 😉
I had a little break from building. Well… not really a break. More like a deal.
I made a deal with my husband...
One full year – no new LEGO sets in the apartment.
And guess what? I followed the rule. Yes. I was a good girl 😇
And yes… I also proved to my husband that I can do it 😉
I actually had a few LEGO sets at home that I never built, but I decided to put those aside too and start fresh this year. Because let’s be honest…
It’s WAY more fun when you finish one set and another one is already waiting for you 😍
Now… there is only one small tiny problem with me. When I start building LEGO… there is no stopping.
I can build all day.
Sometimes all night.
No sleep. No food. Only LEGO.
But this time I tried something new. I made a rule...no more than 3–4 hours a day.
Huh. That was a real challenge. But hey… why not try, right? 😉
Also… LEGO sets are getting crazy expensive.
And because I already built almost all the smaller and cheaper head sets, now only the BIG BOYS are waiting for me. And those are NOT cheap. At all.
I decided something very serious:
From now on, I buy ONLY Star Wars LEGO.
And that means… Every set I’m missing is over 300 euros 😳
And my dream set?
Yes.
Millennium Falcon.
800 euros.
Ohhhh how much I want it… 😍 I even already know where it will go.
I will make a table, put it inside, cover it with glass, and BOOM... the most beautiful living room table ever.
Of course, I still need a few head sets first, but this…
This is my next big project.
Or challenge.
Or better said… time to open a new saving account 😂
So… I thought I would only have one big set to build.
But NO.
My husband surprised me and bought me TWO LEGO sets for Christmas.
I was jumping up and down like a crazy kid 🤪 (Thank God we live alone. Nobody needs to see this side of me.)
Some people say: “You’re 34 and you still build LEGO?”
YES, SIR.
Did you see the box? 18+
That means I’m MORE than allowed 😌
Also… no kids in my apartment.
So it’s not my fault that I can build LEGO in peace while you sadly watch your kids build it for you. Don’t lie to me.
I know you want to build it too 😉😉
The first set I started was Chewbacca...I was saving this boy for a long time…and he is one of my favorite movie characters ever 🤎
And yes… I took my time.
I built it slowly, over almost 5 days.

But then… something happened.
Every time I was sitting at the table building LEGO, my dog Baou was always under my feet.
Always.
After about half an hour, I looked down… And she wasn’t there.
I completely broke down.
Tears everywhere.
I cried so loudly that my husband heard me and came running.
He looked at me and immediately knew why I was crying.
I mean… yes, maybe PMS helped a little 😅
But still…
He poured me a whisky. Yes. Like in the movies. To calm me down. 🥃
After that… I pulled myself together.
Back to action.

When I finished Chewbacca, I started the next set ...STAR WARS logo.

And guess what?
I finished it in 3 hours.

THREE.
HOURS.
I tried to go slow…But apparently I’m still too fast 😅

So now what?
I still have one head set left.
And yes…I’m starting it right after I finish this post.
And then…I will cry again.
Because there will be no LEGO left to build 😭
Ah, doesn't matter, let's just start building Kylo Ren head set! 😂

WUHUUUU 🚀🖤
With love, @tinabrezpike ❤️
