his is one of my first video essays and more a sketch than a finished piece. Trying out effects, blending images and transforming space in order to reconstruct an impression and feeling more than a logical narrative or rational sense.
The basis and one of the most vital resources of inspiration for me always was and still is the music as well as the exchange with people around me. That Is why I chose to work with this Instrumental, that was made by a close friend and crewmate of mine, whom I watched develop his style of producing beats from the very beginning. Personally I get touched more by beats with a certain melancholic side, with a rawness and atmospheric depth to them. One that lets you sink into deep thoughts and makes you travel to your wildest dreams and most ambitious imaginations. It is exactly these visualisations that I had as a boy, that are now becoming more and more my physical reality. So I started to film my surroundings and daily practices, trying to translate these Impressions I experience with the source of inspiration that evoked them in the first place.
As a lover of music, movement, travel and visual expressions I see a big potential in the making of videos and photography for my ways of creating. I am keen on where this new road leads me to!
