Hello, everyone!
3Speak.tv relies on a decentralized network of community-run encoder nodes. These operators provide the computing power required to process video uploads, transcode media into multiple resolutions, and ensure that content remains reliably accessible across the 3Speak and SPK Network ecosystem.
This weekly report provides a transparent view of encoder performance and workload distribution. Its purpose is twofold:
- To recognize the work contributed by independent node operators.
- To distribute rewards fairly and proportionally, based on actual encoding output.
This strengthens the operational reliability of 3Speak, encourages participation in the encoding network, and supports further decentralization of the video infrastructure on Hive.
The data below is taken from monitor.3speak.tv and reflects encoding activity from the past week.
Some nodes still show “N/A” for the Hive account due to an interface bug; however, we have manually verified the correct accounts.
Current Encoder Software
The open-source repository used by all encoder operators can be found here.
Operators are encouraged to update regularly to benefit from stability, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
