Phone Photography Contest #60: Driving up into the mountains

This is the first time that I take part in the Phone Photography Contest held by the Feel Good community.
I would like to say hello to all members of the community!
This is my entry to Phone Photography Contest #60.
In March, that is two months ago, I drove with my father up into the mountains, just for a change and to escape everyday routine.
We really enjoyed driving while surrounded by dense forests and the astonishing natural beauty of the mountains.
There were young pine trees that looked very healthy, as you can see in the photo, which makes you feel optimistic about the future, amid all this gloomy news about climate change.
We stopped at a stretch of the road to admire the brown and yellow leaves of trees downhill, as the fog got lower, giving us a unique spectacle.
Oak trees were everywhere.
Acorns are excellent food for wild boars, and although we didn’t encounter any wild boars during our trip, we did notice droppings that indicate their presence.
The road was good, but we didn’t go as high into the mountains as we would like to, because landslides and rockfalls prevented us from going any further, so we had to make our way back.
It was a great experience and a good day out.
We ran into very few cars and had the whole road to ourselves for miles.
Not much demand for petrol up there, as you can see from this abandoned petrol station.
