Do not follow Influencers blindly no matter how great their achievement seems to you and trust me that's one of the best advice you'll ever take.
Why do I say this? Well because influencers also get influenced by others and the influence could be both positive and negative.
@meno a good friend of mine on Hive added in the same video I referenced in my previous blog that when you see influencers in a video talking, do not always assume that they stand by the opinions they're spreading.
Some influencers say what they believe the masses would want to hear or would expect them to say. That doesn't mean it's the facts or it's honestly what they believe in.
Yes these influencers shape opinions, drive trends and set narratives, but even they are not immune to being influenced.
I'm starting to love using Elon and Trump as examples so I'll go ahead and use them again. The recent political drama involving Donald Trump and Elon Musk proves that even the most powerful voices in the world take cues from others.
Donald Trump has always been a major influencer in politics and in business. The man just got it all with influence. He has the ability to rally crowds, control media narratives and dominate headlines, it's just undeniable.
He took over the crypto space and what he says in the news is now affecting the value of crypto prices around the world. Imagine having that kind of influence. I hope the insiders are not taking advantage of this, causing him to dictate price action.
But with all that power and abilities, Trump himself is constantly influenced by his base, his media and even cultural trends of America or the world.
I watched him through his rally last year and all the decisions he made just proves my point even more. He seems to almost always adjust his tone and his policies based on public sentiment.
When we see conservative influencers shifting their stance on issues like Russia - Ukraine war, you see Trump follow. Yes, he has the final word but he's not saying whatever he believes is right but whatever his base or team believe in.
It makes sense because Trump knows he depends on his entire team to succeed so supporting the ideologies of his team or supporters is inevitable.
That's why you shouldn't think he's always saying what he truly believes in and that's why you shouldn't follow what he says his because he's Trump.
Remember years ago, Donald Trump was not a crypto fan, he was and has always been till today, a U.S Dollar Fan.
But during the rally we saw him change his opinions because he knew the crypto community could really help. His followers are interested in crypto, so therefore Trump becomes interested in it as well.
Ok so that's Trump, let's talk Elon. He's actually a guy I respect for the achievements and for the intelligence. This is something both his enemies and his friends will agree on, the man is a unique thinker.
Despite his personality of being an independent thinker, what has been happening recently has shown that he too gets influenced by the political landscape.
This man was once seen as apolitical, but now he has become deeply involved in political debates, he engages with right wing voices and criticizes left leaning policies.
Just so you know, he acquiring Twitter and rebranding it to X was heavily driven by the idea of free speech, but can you say there's free speech on X? Nope!!!!!
You'd have a better chance on Hive.
If you observe closely, Elon's views on electric cars, AI and AI regulations and even the exploration of space is usually being adjusted based on both political and public reaction.
The situation of these two men, Trump and Elon is teaching me something interesting. Influence is actually a two way street. Influencers do not just set trends for people, they also follow trends. They're always adjusting their message and their opinions based on the audience, based on critics they receive and the political climate.
Take Mark Zuckerberg for instance, to protect his company in the Trump era, he is just following suit with conservative ideology. It affects both the great and small.
Social media plays a massive role in this cycle. Platforms like X, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube amplify certain voices and influencers like Trump and Elon pick up on the prevailing sentiments to adjust accordingly.
What starts as an organic movement can quickly become part of their own narrative. The whole point I'm trying to make is do not follow blindly because they're not always honest about what they say.
Any thoughts or examples on this topic guys?
