A Time for Everything: Reflections on Life's Stages and Singleness.

Sometimes, when you think about your life and what is going on around you, you wonder if your life is going in the right direction or not. Why is this? A lot of people have their own perspective about things, and the way they think about things also differs. But when you know you ought to have done something at some certain time, and you were unable to do them, then the thought of not doing too well can set in. I have once been in this position, so I think I can relate to things like this, and I can say for sure that it's a fact about life.
What can be said to someone who has been single for so long? Well, like I said earlier, it's a choice of an individual and the path that you decide to thread on. As for me, I do not see any big issues in being single. Well, your singleness does not define the kind of person you are, nor does it mean you will remain like that forever. This is only applicable to those that feel they might not want to marry at all.
What led to this discussion? I was with a friend yesterday, and it was late already. So we had a conversation with some other friends around, and at some point we kept silent all of a sudden, and someone played a reel saying how long you will be single for. We all burst into laughter and looked at one another to ask that question. Well, everyone gave their own perspective on why they remained single at some point, and to some, they have encountered some difficulty with life challenges, which has taught them a great lesson.
Someone made mention of a point that I really love so much, and what is that? He said, and I quote, "There is time for everything under this earth." I looked at him and asked why he made that statement. He said when we were smaller, we had to go to school and study very hard to make our parents proud because that's just the best way to reward them for their hard labor over us. Then we proceed to the higher institution, where we get more exposure and knowledge, and by then we began to know what we were to do with our lives.
By then, our parents will leave us to make some decisions ourselves because they feel we can stand alone and do some things for ourselves. This is how it will go till we have gotten to the stage of having a family, and then we continue. These are stages that he mentioned, and I really love the way he explained them in detail. Being single is just for a time and not a lifetime. I say to people that if you decide to be single and stay away from relationships, it's just a way for you to stay focused and acquire what you are supposed to do in life on time because when you are in a relationship you have a divided mind and your focus might be a bit shattered because you think for not just yourself. Being single is not a crime, go through the process.
