🇺🇸 ~ After many tense days, today I finally let Kamui, the shyest of my four kittens at home (my most spoilt baby), go out to play in the sun.

He is nervous and much smaller in size than most cats in the community, which is why I only let him out when I can keep a close eye on him while he plays and explores the neighbouring gardens. I am simply afraid that a larger cat will attack him for territorial reasons, unlike his brothers (Enki and Felipe), who are ‘Pokemon XL’ sized orange cats.

Today was a very good day for Kamui because one of my nicest neighbours decided to let her kittens out to play too, all of them sweet-natured so there was no danger of accidents.

🇪🇸 ~ Después de muchos días tensos hoy por fin deje salir a jugar en el sol a Kamui, el mas tímido de mis 4 gatitos en casa (mi bebé mas consentido).

El es nervioso y mucho mas pequeño en tamaño que la mayoría de los gatos en la comunidad, por esa razón solo lo dejo salir cuando puedo acompañarlo de cerca mientras juega y explora los jardines vecinos, simplemente temo que un gato mas grande lo ataque por tema de territorialidad, a diferencia de sus hermanos (Enki y Felipe) que son gatos mandarinos tamaño "Pokemon XL".

Hoy fue un muy buen día para Kamui porque al unísono una de mis vecinas mas agradables decidió dejar salir a jugar a sus gatitos también, todos de carácter dulce así que no había peligro de accidentes.

Watching everyone play, I reflected on how, even though the world can be very cruel, there are also very happy miracles to be thankful for and never forget.

These three cats, for example, I'm sure you don't remember seeing them on my blog before, because when I introduced them here, they had only been rescued a few days earlier, being barely newborns.

The first big grey cat is Percival. About six years ago, my neighbour saw him in the middle of the road under the harsh sun, crying next to his little sister (similar to him but white) in a chaotic area of the city. She picked them up and brought them home in a little box that a shopkeeper gave her.

Percival and Peberets were rescued during the most critical weeks of the Covid pandemic in Venezuela. We didn't have money to buy the special formula to feed baby kittens, so at that time we could only give them homemade serums and rice cream. Today, both are healthy and much-loved adult cats.

The second gray and white tabby kitten is Loki. He was rescued from the trash. He was very small, blind, and his ears weren't even fully formed. He managed to survive and is now a beautiful 1-year-old kitten thanks to the efforts of his family, who bottle-fed him and cared for him day and night with great dedication.

The third kitten is called Nina. You may not recognize her because we used to call her “Manguito.” I rescued her in early 2025 from some pipes near a garbage room along with her brother (unfortunately, he didn't make it).

When I found her, she was only a few hours old and still had her umbilical cord. We believe that her mother was one of the cats that gave birth prematurely because of New Year's fireworks and that she rejected her babies due to stress.

Nina and Loki grew up together, and although they were destined to be put up for adoption, in the end, the family that helped them survive fell in love with them and decided to keep them.

Viendo a todos jugar, reflexioné en que a pesar de que el mundo puede ser muy cruel, también hay milagros muy felices por los que estar agradecidos y no olvidar.

Estos 3 gatos por ejemplo, estoy segura que no recuerdas haberlos visto en mi blog antes, porque cuando los presenté aquí, todos tenían escasos días de haber sido rescatados, siendo apenas recién nacidos.

El primer gato gris grande, es Percival. Hace unos 6 años mi vecina lo vio en medio de la carretera bajo el sol inclemente, llorando junto a su hermanita (parecida a el pero de color blanco) en un área caótica de la ciudad. Ella los recogió y trajo a casa en una cajita que un comerciante le regaló.

Percival y Peberets fueron rescatados durante las semanas mas criticas de la pandemia de Covid en Venezuela, no teníamos dinero para comprar la formula especial para alimentar gatitos bebés, en ese entonces solo podíamos darles sueros caseros y crema de arroz. Hoy ambos son gatos adultos saludables y muy queridos.

El segundo gatito gris con blanco atigrado es Loki, el fue rescatado de la basura, era muy pequeño, estaba ciego y sus orejitas no estaban ni siquiera completamente formadas. Logró sobrevivir y es hoy un hermoso gatito de 1 año de edad gracias al esfuerzo de su familia, que lo alimento con biberón y atendió día y noche con mucha dedicación.

La tercera gatita se llama Nina, quizá no la reconozcas porque antes le decíamos "Manguito", a ella la rescate a inicios del 2025 de entre unas tuberías cerca de un cuarto de basura junto a su hermano (lamentablemente el no lo logro).

Cuando la encontré tendría pocas horas de nacida, todavía tenía el cordón umbilical, creemos que su mamá fue una de las gatas que dió a luz prematuramente por culpa de la pirotecnia de año nuevo, y que por el stress rechazó a sus bebés.

Nina y Loki crecieron juntos y aunque estaban destinados a ser dados en adopción, al final la familia que los ayudo a sobrevivir se enamoro de ellos y decidió quedárselos.

Kamui (my vampire kitten), on the other hand, had a peaceful and happy birth, but Galatea (my calico kitten), his mother, has a different story.

She was the last kitten born to her mother, who died last year of old age. I remember it was a traumatic birth. Galatea was born with great effort. Her mother was a very old cat and did not have the strength to give birth to the remaining kittens.

I remember we had to call an emergency veterinarian to help the cat expel the remaining kittens, which were no longer alive due to the time that had passed.

After that, Galatea grew up as an only child. My mom says that her bad temper is because she “saw things” when she was little, that her arrival into the world was difficult.

Today, everyone is doing well and has pleasant, peaceful lives. And I hope that the clips of Kamui excitedly marking a tree brighten your day (there was so much happiness in such a small body) (^▽^)/ ʸᵉᔆᵎ

Kamui (mi gatito vampiro) por el contrario tuvo un nacimiento tranquilo y feliz, Galatea (mi gatita cálico) su madre tiene otra historia.

Ella fue la ultima gatita que dio a luz su madre, quien falleció el año pasado por vejez. Recuerdo que fue un parto traumático, Galatea nació con mucho esfuerzo, su madre era una gata muy mayor y no tuvo las fuerzas para dar a luz a los siguientes gatitos.

Recuerdo que tuvimos que llamar a un doctor veterinario de emergencia para ayudar a la minina a expulsar a los gatitos faltantes que por las horas transcurridas ya no se encontraban con vida.

Galatea después de eso creció siendo hija única, mi mamá dice que su mal carácter se debe a que "vio cosas" cuando era pequeña, que su llegada al mundo fue difícil.

Hoy todos están bien y tienen vidas agradables y tranquilas. Y espero que los clip de Kamui emocionado marcando un árbol alegren tu día (era mucha felicidad en un cuerpo tan pequeño) (^▽^)/ ʸᵉᔆᵎ
