Hello music lovers and Hello hivers!

It's Tuesday, and you know what that means – time to share some tunes for the brilliant #threetunetuesday initiative started by @ablaze!
This week, my inspiration comes from the man himself @ablaze
He has been sharing some awesome tunes from Ireland, so I thought I would do the same for Scotland...

Three random Scottish tunes

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 208 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post More Irish Tunes for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 207 - win 5 HBI
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the FIVE sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

Where to start !

I raided some of my spotify playlists and grabbed three tunes I listen to at random!

So today we have three random tunes from three random Scottish bands!

Tune 1 ~ Frightened Rabbit - The Woodpile

First up we are going down south to the Scottish borders and a wee town called Selkirk. The folk in Selkirk are more known for their rugby exploits than musical prowess.
Nevertheless in 2003 Frightened Rabbit were formed.
Their songs are pretty awesome which isn't surprising really being that Scott Hutchison is one helluva talented songwriter.
Mrs T loves them because they are so very Scottish in their accents when singing without being your typical perceived Glasgow/West Coast Scottish accent.
The Woodpile is from their 2013 album Pedestrian Verse and for me is one of their great sing along songs.

Tune 2 ~ The Blue Nile - Tinseltown in the Rain

Next up we travel back in time to Glasgow where The Blue Nile were formed in 1981,
The band was made up of Paul Buchanan, Robert Bell, and Paul Joseph Moore and were renowned for their meticulous approach to music-making. As testament to that they only released four fluffing albums over a span of more than two decades.
Their sound is often described as synth-pop or sophisti-pop.
Tinseltown in the Rain is the lead single from their 1984 debut album A Walk Across the Rooftops.
For those of you who don't know, it often rains in Glasgow hehe and so they had plenty of experience to pen these lyrics.
Another great band and a different genre for you.

Tune 3 ~ Teenage Fanclub - "Sparky's Dream"

Our final Scottish tune for this Tuesday is from probably the most famous of the three bands I share today.
I wonder if our American listeners know of them, as Kurt Kobain called them "the best band in the world."
Yep we are heading to Bellshill near Glasgow and a group that was formed in 1989 and are affectionately known as The Fannies🀣
The band in question is Teenage Fanclub
"Sparky's Dream" is taken from their critically acclaimed 1995 album Grand Prix and is in typical Sparky's Dream style.
Great melodies and riffs and an uplifting song to listen to!
So there you have it – three randomly selected tunes from Scottish bands on spotify that I listen to.

Which was your favourite random Scottish tune or was it one of the many others that could have been chosen? Or have you never heard of these bands?!?

What tunes are you sharing this Tuesday? Let me know in the comments below!
