Light painting
Happy Friday today I will share some light painting shots , these are not new ones I have done this year but some I did last year, and had edited but not shared yet
So what is light painting let me try to explain, actually let me cheat and copy and paste how I explained it in a previous post and was happy with it lOL
Light painting is basically photography’s rebellious cousin who skipped art school and went straight to rave school. Instead of brushes and canvas, you use flashlights, sparklers, glow sticks, or anything that creates light
You set your camera on a tripod, open the shutter for a few seconds or minutes, and then whoosh, you draw in the air with light. The camera sees all the glowing trails and goes, “Oh, cool, I’ll just record that like it’s normal.” And voilà—you’ve got a photo that hopefully you think is cool .
It’s like finger painting, but for grown-ups who still believe in magic or for grown ups who are still kids at art and like to have fun.
Or possibly more likely in my case, for someone like me with no artistic ability who thinks doing these is perhaps the best art I will ever do lOL
I know I have said sometime I will share photos of the gear I use, and yet again I will say there still packed up in a box till it arms up, but when I get them out and into the car I will tke some shots and perhaps even do a video of me light painting which may explain it better.
And i am a step closer to that stage with the forecast for the coming week showing a nice warm up, I just got out the torches and am charging them up, which led me to decided to prepare this post this morning.
With the fact that I prepare posts a week in advance, hopefully by the time I share this I will have bene out for a morning walk and done some new ones, or if its still cool in the mornings at least got out for a couple of day timr walks
This first one I was at the fort here, and tried patterns with a J in the middle and I must say I am happy with this one
