Hi, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I decided to enjoy mine and relax very close to the sea, even if the sea has undertows and swells. Always being close to it generates in me a relaxing and very renewing effect.
This time I decided to get to know and walk along the sands of the beautiful Magnesita Beach. Taking advantage of the good weather, we could not choose another place to spend our day.
Upon arrival, its beach and beach grape bushes, with their twisted trunks, offered a welcoming shade and a touch of unparalleled beauty to the surrounding seascape. It was a sight that captivated from the very first moment.
Hola, espero que estén disfrutando su fin de semana. Yo me propuse disfrutar el mío y relajarme bien cerquita del mar, aunque el mar tenga resacas y oleajes. Siempre estar cerca de él genera en mí un efecto relajante y muy renovador.
En esta ocasión decidí conocer y caminar por las arenas de la hermosa Playa Magnesita. Aprovechando el buen clima, no podíamos escoger otro lugar para pasar nuestro día.
Al llegar, sus arbustos de playa y de uvas de playa, con sus troncos torcidos, ofrecían una sombra acogedora y un toque de belleza sin igual al paisaje marino que los rodeaba. Era un panorama que cautivaba desde el primer momento.
The weather forecast predicted a big swell, although the reality was not so intense. However, not having a bathing suit, I decided to walk along these soft sands, enjoying my stay in this paradise. Although I could not dive into its waters, the simple contact with the sea breeze was enough to fill me with peace and joy.
El pronóstico del tiempo auguraba un gran oleaje, aunque la realidad no fue tan intensa. Sin embargo, al no tener traje de baño, decidí caminar por estas suaves arenas, disfrutando igualmente de mi estancia en este paraíso. Aunque no pude sumergirme en sus aguas, el simple contacto con la brisa marina fue suficiente para llenarme de paz y alegría.
In the nearby trees I found signs carefully placed to welcome and invite visitors to take care of the natural environment. I thought this was a great initiative, as it shows the love for nature and the effort to keep it in good condition. This detail shows the commitment of the locals to preserve their heritage and motivate others to do the same.
En los árboles cercanos encontré carteles colocados cuidadosamente para dar la bienvenida e invitar a los visitantes al cuidado del entorno natural. Esto me pareció una iniciativa genial, ya que se nota el amor por la naturaleza y el esfuerzo por mantenerla en buen estado. Este detalle demuestra el compromiso de los lugareños por preservar su patrimonio y motivar a otros a hacer lo mismo.
Talking with a local, I discovered that the name of this beach was chosen by the inhabitants themselves because of the magnesite incarnations of the island that used to come out of the area. He told me stories of how in the past the bridge, now deteriorated, was used for this activity and the excitement of the sea for years. I tell them that, although the bridge is quite worn out, it still possesses a singular beauty, a vestige of bygone times.
Conversando con un lugareño, descubrí que el nombre de esta playa fue elegido por los propios habitantes debido a que de la zona salían embarcaciones con magnesita de la isla. Me contó historias de cómo en el pasado se utilizaba el puente, ahora deteriorado, para dicha actividad y la erosión del mar por años. Les digo que, aunque el puente se encuentra bastante desgastado, aún posee una belleza singular, un vestigio de épocas pasadas.
As I stood in front of the sea, I watched as some daring swimmers braved the waves, letting themselves be enveloped by the deep, beautiful blue waters. This blue, so contrasting with the sky, created a visual spectacle that perfectly complemented the natural environment of the beach. It was impossible not to be infected by the enthusiasm and courage of those swimmers.
Mientras me encontraba frente al mar, pude observar cómo algunos bañistas osados desafiaban el oleaje, dejándose envolver por las aguas de un azul profundo y hermoso. Este azul, tan contrastante con el cielo, creaba un espectáculo visual que complementa perfectamente con el entorno natural de la playa. Era imposible no contagiarse con el entusiasmo y valentía de aquellos bañistas.
After sitting for several hours, my husband and I chatted and enjoyed the sea breeze that enveloped us. It was a moment full of tranquility and connection with nature. Finally, we decided to leave, with the promise to return when the swell is smoother and we can enjoy this enchanting beach to its fullest.
This visit left us with the certainty that Playa Magnesita is a place that deserves to be visited again and again.

Después de pasar varias horas sentados, mi esposo y yo conversamos y disfrutamos de la brisa marina que nos envolvía. Fue un momento lleno de tranquilidad y conexión con la naturaleza. Finalmente, decidimos irnos, con la promesa de regresar cuando el oleaje sea más suave y podamos disfrutar de esta encantadora playa en su máxima plenitud.
Esta visita nos dejó la certeza de que Playa Magnesita es un lugar que merece ser visitado una y otra vez.
